  1. Thanks David.😀 But I was just sitting here and decided I'm not happy with the rear trim section which is Revell's doing. The thickness is irregular and the cove down the center, even after re-scribing, isn't satisfactory. I took it off completely and decided to start from scratch. Glued a piece of square stock in it's place, which is too thick but I will sand it down to the right thickness and scribe it with the patented @Maindrian Pace scribing tool. Once the glue completely dries that is. Wish me luck....😬
  2. I’m in New York where the car in the roundabout has the right of way. Our neighboring state New Jersey is the opposite, the car entering has the right of way. You can imagine the accidents caused by out of state drivers in both locations. But my biggest peeve is drivers who ride your bumper on the highway. Had nothing but cars in front of me this afternoon for as far as the eye can see. What would you expect, it’s get away day due to the holiday. Yet I get a guy riding my bumper and trying to push me out of his way. I let him pass and he continued to do the same to the next car. By the time I got off the highway 20 miles later he was a few cars behind me. All of his pushing never got him anywhere
  3. Apparel and other things keep getting pushed on this forum by TEMU.
  4. For clearing drains.
  5. Thanks Dave, hope everyone enjoys the day and has a safe celebration.
  6. Damage to the cerebral cortex can leave one in a stupor.
  7. Tire on my left rear is always 1lb lower then the other three.
  8. I put the wagon aside for a bit so that all the body work could dry properly but now it's time to get back at it. And we are at the point of tackling that side trim. This is where we either make it work or it all goes to 💩 I started out by tracing the current side trim with some masking tape and laying that on top of some flat styrene, I think .030. Then trimming it down until there was only tape showing. Then taking the piece I made and making a second. I eyeballed it's placement and basically I was looking to have the curve follow the arch over the wheel opening. I sanded the body back down to the bare styrene, if I was smart I probably never would have sprayed the primer on in the first place. I am discovering that the kit trim is not very pronounced and is actually rather uneven in thickness, Revell could have done a better job with it. Almost considered taking it all off and starting from scratch. The pieces were glued in place and at this point you can see they are thicker then they need to be. I made myself a scribe tool steeling the idea from @Maindrian Pace and I used this to sharpen some of the detail on the Revell trim and etch a reference mark on my pieces. Looks very crude here but I have added the bottom leg that extends forward and left it oversized so I can trim it down to fit. I started scribing on the hockey stick here which will later make more sense. Here you can see why I was scribing those lines as the trim is beginning to look like something. It still needs a bit more cleanup work but it is beginning to take shape and not looking all that bad. Time to let it sit a bit to dry and then we will fuss with it some more. See ya next time....
  9. Full is the way I will feel Thursday afternoon.
  10. Attack like that can backfire on you.
  11. Jim, that’s the screen holder, this Ford will have built in Sirius/XM radio and Apple CarPlay
  12. By the time I get to Phoenix she’ll be rising and cursing my sorry ass out.
  13. Jim, found another in the attic and it's a 427 with the same wonky "7"
  14. It's really cool that your doing this. My Dad built kits in the early 60's before moving on to collecting die-cast Dinky's and Corgi's. He has given me his un-built kits which I need to build. He still has his built ones. One of his favorites is an AMT 1940 Ford that he turned into a Woody using real wood. I built a copy of it back in the 70's and it won first prize at a local contest. I think he got a kick out of that. I have also picked up kits from estate auctions, like the mixed up 60's Vette I'm currently working on. Some of these kits I get weird vibes off of and some seem to point you in a direction.👻
  15. Service at a gas station used to be just that, greet the customer with a smile, wash the windows and check the oil.
  16. All valid caused Bill. But I found if I use the fuel with ethanol I have to dial back the timing a bit to prevent detonation. Having less advance will also make an engine run hot. With the pure gasoline the car is a lot happier and I don't experience any vapor lock, another bonus.
  17. Cooked some chicken last night, does that qualify as practice for the turkey?
  18. I can understand getting hot when idling, my 66 Mustang Convertible does the same. But I feel it has more to do with the gasoline these days then anything else. I will drive over to the next county to get gas because they sell it without any ethanol in it. Right after 911 drove it 90 minutes to be in a memorial parade. The drive there and back it behaved itself. But idling during the parade route it was not a happy camper.
