  1. Wont have to wait long 😁 First, did some wetsanding: Then some priming And some more And finally, the paint itself: Really happy how it turned out
  2. Started prepping the body for the paint Glued some final pieces on and worked out a game plan on how to paint this thing. Will do a classic Lamborghini color (won't spoil it yet). Also did some work on the engine bay. Put the engine together. Its really is lacking some details: So thought i'd improvise a bit. Drilled out some scrap plastic: And added some coil wires 😁 Should look pretty cool once its in the car Also did a bit of work on the interior Some tape work: Some paintwork: And some detail work. Did screw up the buttons a bit, but still looks pretty cool 😁
  3. So did a bit of thinking.......and measuring........and some glueing Got the sideskirts on: Added some supports for the doors And finally glued them on Then it was time for the interior: Did some washing: Then some painting: And this is how the base came out Looks pretty awesome.
  4. I've yet to decide which way i'll go. Torn between two options - (won't spoil it much 😁). One is a red tone with a twist and the second one is a bit different than you're average C8, but still pretty classic. I'll probably go with option no.2 to make it a bit more interesting But will see
  5. Haven't really done any work on this kit What bothers me the most is the doors - just dosen't like the idea of being able to open them. It seems like a novelty idea that creates a whole lot of issues. Usually they are pretty weak, won't sit right and needs a lot of work to build it. So i've decided that i'm going to glue them in place. Ideally before painting the body. This is a sure way to get the panel lines like i would like them to be. I'm not planning to display it with open doors anyway so its not an issue for me. My only consern is that i'm not 100% sure if its possible to put this thing together after painting and glueing everything. So i did a lot of testfitting, taping and thinking. I'm pretty sure its doable. So, i'm going to risk it - will glue them on before paint If anyone has tried this before and knows it won't work (or it will work) then let me know
  6. Hi! Time to take up another supercar build. This time, its the C8 Corvette Not sure about what color i'm going for, but definitely not doing anything crazy. Maybe trying to do like something you would find in a rental service instead of a race tracks. Will see how this goes
  7. Finally got this one done Had some issues, but pretty happy how it turned out
  8. Got the inside guts put together Sadly lost one of the engine decals Headlights in Put the car together And it stands on its own
  9. Bodywork is done 😁 Pretty happy how it turned out
  10. Did some random stuff today Headlights are done Also the front grille is done. The brakes too And body is also ready for clear coat
  11. Did some decal work The dashboard got its decals Then some crystal glass The steering wheel got also its decals And finally, the interior is done Also did a tiny bit of work on the engine too 😎
  12. Really love the look of silver A-pillars on Roadster R8. So thought i might add a bit of silver to my R8 too So, did some tapework (a bit overkill, i know): Then did some silver painting Did a custom mix with Tamiya gunmetal and some random black i had laying around And this is how it turned out. Looks pretty cool
  13. Thank you! They're far from perfect, but i try my best
  14. Weird, the forum is acting up for me a bit, but lets try this again Did some bodywork - At first, did some wetsanding and priming Then some more wetsanding And some more priming And finally some painting:
  15. Did some more progress. Noticed that the dash doesn't have the circular navigation button. This was bothering me more than it probably should 😁 So, dipped the whole dash into dot4. After that, i took a scrap piece from another kit (an axle piece from Revell's Charger kit) and glued it onto the dash like a little horn 😁 After letting it dry for a bit, i sanded it down And re-painted the dash Came out looking like its from the box Then did some flocking and painting Then some glueing ....and some more glueing.... And testfitted the dash Looks like a nice little interior already
  16. Did some work on the interior. Custom mixed something for the tub and seats Came out pretty nice. The dash also got a coat of satin black Then did some tapework And some more painting
  17. That interior has a really cool looking shade of cream! What color is it? Was trying to paint mine something similar, but had to do a custom mix. Don't know yet if i like mine. My kit definitely has some issues - some parts are bent, but the worst part is the seats and interior tub. They have some weird spots on them. Seems they came off from really bad mould, really weird. Anyway, lets kick off this build! First, glued the engine together: Added the cam covers: Then the coilpacks: And finally the intake manifold. The correct way would be to paint the center part of the manifold flat black, but i did mine in red 😁 Wanted to add a bit of contrast into the engine bay. Might look cool in the end. And testfitted it together Came out pretty cool
  18. Thank you guys
  19. Thanks! Will keep in mind.
  20. Lets start another build Had this kit laying around so thought i'd give it a go. This was one of my very first car kits i ever tried to build when it first came out (but gave up). So this is somewhat of a redemption build for myself. The challenge with this kit is that its bent pretty badly. So lets see if i'm able to get all 4 wheels to the ground 😁 Thanks for following!
  21. Hi! My last two Lamborghini builds went quite well. So, decided to pick up another one and torture myself a bit with a harder kit. This time, the legendary Aventador Roadster. A really cool looking Lambo. I have some ideas i would like to try, but we'll see. Won't do anything crazy like paint it in pink or neon green. Will stay true to the real ones. Kit itself seems good. My first Aoshima kit. Looks definitely more challenging than the Revell kits - not so sure about my skill level so let's see if i can even finish this one So I will probably take my time with it and will probably take up some easier Revell kit too. Theres another monster in my stash still waiting for me to give it a go. Won't touch it yet, but if i'm able to finist both of these - i won't consider myself as a beginner anymore 😎 But enough talking - time to get busy!
  22. Hi! Havent really done any yellow cars before So this is my first one - the '03 Lambo Gallardo And a family picture with its bigger sister
  23. And here we go Got the body clearcoated Also got the interior together And some work on the lights and windows Had my fair share of trouble trying to get the underside on And finally got it together Nice and easy quick build. See you at my other threads!
  24. Did some sanding Then some priming And some more And finally, some painting
  25. Did some painting
