My very first model

Love the nostalgia. Great story and an awesome build! When stock cars looked stock - warms my heart! 🤣 Steve -
Gilmore Petrol Willys: a phantom 41 Willys sedan-delivery creation
Coyote_6 replied to Claude Thibodeau's topic in Model Cars
All I can say is yes. Just yes. Very nice artistry. Steve -
@mustang1989 It is the Tamiya Waterline Yorktown in 1/700 scale (Tamiya kit 31712). The planes are two boxes of Flyhawk FH1164. Below the Tamiya kit Wildcat on the left, Flyhawk on the right. A lot of work but worth it (Tamiya 1 piece, Flyhawk is 4 pieces). Steve

AMT 1953 Ford Pickup
Coyote_6 replied to Oliver77's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Beautiful work Jeff. I am about to do my first try at this kit - doing the body in red. Very clean build and nice color choice. Looking forward to working on this AMT kit. Very convincing welding rig as well, by the way. Steve -
That looks really nice! Awesome color choice!! Steve

Digging those "stinger" exhausts - really connects the front engine street rod/rear engine bug mix. Steve

Gotta resurrect. Here's the last one from when I was 13 (45 years ago). Found this on the internet and had to buy it! Gonna do an identical build 45 years later to compare and contrast my skills then and now. Should be fun! (The only thing not original to the 1980's build is the silver sharpie door handles - did a test for my General Lee build this year.) This Avenger Ford existed in it's 45 year old state until I decided to start turning it into a moonshine runner last year. The 45 year old Testors black enamal is polishing up nice. Needless to say a work in progress. It won't be perfect but the car is old.

@STU111 They are tiny! But my secret weapon is the optivisor, 2.5x magnification. If it looks good under the optivisor it should look good to just about anyone.

Wow - beautiful work but that red Impala wins the internet for me today. Very nice!! Steve

Nice work on the ageing/patina - especially the Nova wagon and the hood on the Charger! Very nice! Steve

@Zippi Thanks! The F150 looks good in person but being 1/64 scale the decals look a little pixelated from the printer 😪. The other three were plastic builds. Slow year but fun - I have more in work on the bench than I finished. Ugh. 🤣

The "forbidden builds" in 1/25, The General and The Bandit. A Hailie Deegan F150 repaint in 1/64 diecast... And an.... aircraft carrier?? USS Yorktown in 1/700 scale.

@bobss396 Brilliant idea to design the garage around a good storage box. So much dust in California, I will follow your lead. You definitely should start one! Steve

@Dann Tier Thanks! Fixed up the tail lights so she's out of the shop now. Waiting on printing a 70's style California personalized plate. Had a European plate on there before.

Beautiful. And the raised white letter tires are just so right! Niiiiiice. Steve

Dude! Sick paint choice and awesome build overall. Just awesome and cool details. I especially like the silver lips on the wheels. I am working this same model right now and don't be too hard on yourself - the headlights and the black filler piece are TOUGH!! Anyway, great build and great color choice. Steve PS - nice carbon fiber choices. I am CFing the wing and those cool batwing vents on mine.

Sweet. A lot of fine work there! Very nice. Steve

An heirloom. Very nice build. Steve

Yes! Triple Black!! Just yes! Well done and very classy! Steve
