Tiger Paw Yellow Stripe Tires
Falcon Ranchero replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A little off the topic of "do they make them still", would this tire have some sort of date code on it, just to see what year it was produced? -
This is probably the most custom trailer out there; it was originally built in 1963 by my grandma's father, who was a skilled carpenter. He used the rear suspension from a '30 or '40 Chevy, and built it up from that platform. It was originally nothing special, at all, but after its complete overhaul in 2020, I've been adding trim pieces and badging just for fun. Before Restoration

Well thanks for looking into that; can't believe there's no info on the tire; I have this one pictured but also one off the rim, and they must be the only two of their kind left! -

I think it's because they use the beak to pry open pine cones, and use their tongue to pick out the seeds. -

Dumb squirrel getting too close to the garage (grandma's yard). Went up the oak tree, so I was tryina scare him off by asserting dominance by shaking the branches and shooing it away with my grandfather's old cane. Back in December 2019 - January 2020 me and him had an all-out war against the squirrels 'cause they were really being pests. All I can say is, during that time, a lot of squirrels died. My grandfather was pretty quick with his cane, not gonna lie. -

Blue Jays eating my raspberries from the bush in the back of our lawn. I’ve been having to pick them before they’re ripe in order to save them. -
Any FoMoCo VIN decoders?
Falcon Ranchero replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I was wondering about that, too. It does in fact have the red interior, but I don’t believe it would have been a taxi; just a personal car. -
Alligator snapping turtles lure fish into their mouths by wiggling their tongue which looks like a worm.

Any FoMoCo VIN decoders?

Yeah I went through it with the tag on hand and it confirmed stuff I already know about the car, but it was neat to know what the numbers and letters mean ? -

Any FoMoCo VIN decoders?
Falcon Ranchero replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The plate was on the inner-side of the front driver's door. I didn't know there was a difference between VIN and Patent plates. Thanks for the info and advice; I guess a Canadian Ford shop manual may be the only hope, but I can imagine finding such a book would be challenging. -
For our high school art show in 2023 I was commissioned to paint on a car door, promoting the auto shop and art rooms (131 and 132), and so I took the door from my grandma's father's 1953 Chevy 210 (or what was left of it), and made this, below. I have an old photo of the whole car in 1960, you may have seen it in 1:1 reference cars under "Vintage Photos of Family Cars: PART TWO" but I have it in this topic, too. The door stayed at school for a year, but it now sits in our basement, taking up space, but it is nice to look at. Never could find a way to patch that hole, but it looks ok. Made it into the yearbook so it mustn't have been all that bad.

Dealer badges are usually very unique; they also carry the history of where the vehicle was sold. I found what may be the only remaining dealer badge from a local and now historic Chevrolet and Cadillac dealer called "Boston's". It was on the trunk of a 1953 Chevy (the cars parts were scattered around a hiking trail) and one reason it wasn't stolen prior to my aquiring of it, was the fact that the car's quarter panel was resting on top of the trunk, and out of curiosity I lifted it up and behold was the trunk with not only the Chevy ornament, but the dealer badge. FEEL FREE TO ADD PHOTOS OF ANY DEALER BADGES YOU'VE FOUND OR HAVE ON THE TRUNK OF YOUR OLD CAR!

I have had fish before, but now I have Rango, a Leopard Gecko (lizard), I think they come from sub-saharan Africa, in the desert. But he wags his tail like a dog whenever he's about to pounce on a cricket (the food he eats). Here, you can see him laying on top of his cave, having a snooze.

I have this VIN from a 1963 Ford 300, but I have no actual idea how do decode it. Wondering if anyone on here may be knowledgeable on how to decode the serial number to get the date of manufacturing. I also have the lisence plate but that won't help; but it's cool though. -
