  1. Here are some old wrecks left for dead. These were spotted in a hiking trail. Out in the sap lines at a maple Syrup place The '50 Chevy from the local hiking trail; 2022 photos Circa 1957 Fiat Multipla pickup converted to a snow-goer; found on my aunt's farm, left by the previous owner, last registered 1965. A 1963 Ford 300 on my grandparent's property, it was apparently my grandma's brother's friend's car, last registered in 1970. I was told it was mint condition when in was left for dead; because the straight 6 stopped working and so they took the rear axle off to use for a homemade 6-wheeled bushwacker (also ended up in the gully with this car) but then the neighbor's kids tresspassed and totaled the thing shortly after it was left here
  2. This is his car without the lights
  3. A neat way I learned to take photos in Grade 11 Photography Class. The photos here have NOT BEEN EDITED IN ANY WAY/SHAPE/FORM. What you see is what I saw on the camera display screen after I took the photos. The key is to have a car in a dark space, then leave the camera's shutter open for at least 20-30 seconds, and take one of those little finger lights and "Paint" around the car with it and the camera will capture the path of the light. This is my Great Uncle Lauri's 1965 Ford Thunderbird Landau.
  4. I really like cars like this; seen a few beaters on the road. They look so original, every dent has a story
  5. I really like this build; always nice to see the stock versions of cars that are popular for customization. ? Big fan of white walls and hubcaps
  6. Here are some more; I will keep on adding irregularily until I have shared all the ones I'd like to.
  7. Yes the 1963 Starcrest Belmont; I would love to see one of my drawings as an actual model!!! that would be the coolest thing ever.
  8. Oh I know right?! FYI it is actually for sale still, (those photos were taken last year), they want $12,000 for it, and it is posted on facebook marketplace in Classic cars in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
  9. Some old photos from winter 1964 around our city. Cars seemed to have a hard time back then in the snow. These photos are from archival sources.
  10. Here are some of my personal drawings of concept design cars; I made up a brand called "Starcrest" so some of my cars are labeled as such, and some are no-names. I will add more because I have a lot; when the other kids at school were on their cell phones, I was nose-deep in my drawing books making these artistic cars instead.
  11. Is there a way to move a certain topic to another category? Namely a post I made in "1:1 Refernce" cars to "Auto Art" as I was confused on which category it should be in but I think it's more suitable for Auto Art.
  12. Yeah that photo is just from the internet; the 1960 Plymouth is my absolute favourite car, but I have never saw one in real life, one of the photos up there is of my Great Uncle Jim’s 1960 Belvedere, and the avatar there is the closest match to that car I could find.
  13. I may be interested in the model, but I would have to see it; maybe put some pictures on this topic so I can see it?
  14. Thanks for shedding some light on the Falcon; I was trying to see the badge more clearly, but couldn’t make it out, but the 260 guess is a good possibility. My Great Uncle said both his Galaxies had the 390, but the black and white photo one was customized a bit as it had allegedly had pipes coming out from behind the front wheels though it’s rather hard to see in the photo. That ‘53 Chevy was dumped as it just stopped working I guess; it has been sitting that way since 1962, though the photo was taken last year. My parents definitely grew up in Ford families, though I’m living in a Toyota family currently as both my parents have Toyotas.
  15. Runs smoother than the second road Lighning McQueen paved ?
  16. I said I would add more because I had more, so here are the last of them. To begin, we have a 1963 ford Falcon owned by my dad's father. We actually know nothing about this car, as he isn't around to tell us about it, and even my Great Uncle doesn't remember my dad's father having this car, so he must've had it for a very short time. Next, this is my Great Uncle Lauri's second 1964 ford Galaxie. It was dark green, and this is actually the one I based my 1964 AMT Galaxie model after. This photo was taken in 1965. Right here is a 1962 Ford Galaxie (mom's side of the family) that was owned by my Nonno. This was alledgedly his fourth car, and it was a burgundy four-door with a white top, and 1957 Ford hubcaps. Sitting on the fender are my Aunts. This photo was taken 1964. This is my Great Uncle Lauri and his first 1964 Ford Galaxie. Taken on a local beach in 1965. This is my grandma's father's (mom's side of the family) 1953 Chevy 210. It was brown with a white top, and the car actually still exists; (see below this photo) Taken on May 14th, 1960, the day of my grandparent's wedding. This is the same car from above., dumped in '62, according to the plate on the bumper, it was left to rot in a gully on my grandparent's property. The thing must've rolled twice before ending upside-down at the bottom of the gully (mom's side of the family) Taken 1975, this is my Nonno's 1970 Mercury Marquis, the car that replaced the '62 Galaxie. This was apparently his favourite car he owned. In the background is his first Truck, a 1963 Chevy. This is my Great Uncle Jim's 1960 Plymouth Belvedere. The photo was taken in 1962, as he chauffered my grandma (dad's side of the family) to her wedding. With her is a friend of the family who gave her away as her dad died in WW2. A little farther down from their wedding, our local Algoma West Used Cars lot is situated (now known as Deresti Motors) and there are some neat cars I figured I'd share. A better view, one can see a 1959 Chevy sedan, 1960 and '61 Chevy wagons, 1955 Buick, 1953 Chevy, 1955 Meteor wagon, and on roadside appears to be a Renault Dauphine, anywhere between '56 and '62 I believe.
  17. Here it is, finally completed. Took a little less than a week, but it's here. Little issue with the suspension; I went with the lowered stance on the front, but it turns out it hits the ground before the wheels do, but it still looks cool. The most exotic colour I've put on any of my models, not only because it's pink, but because that was my first can of Tamiya paint.
  18. That Corvair is real neat. If it wasn’t for the kits I have, I would have never knew Palmer Plastics existed; seems it’s not everyday you come across one.
  19. This is the last post for here, the big reveal of the finished model will be on model cars under glass shortly.
  20. Jumping right ahead, here is a quick mockup from a little earlier in the day. As of now, the body is fully ready to go on the chassis; just waiting for some things to dry. Last night I was able to do the trim detailing.
  21. That's actually really cool; I gotta have the guts to do a rusty car myself.
