  1. You're right, stckers/badges applied by the dealer can be in stupid places, and the Mustang is a perfect example; I don't mind the big "Highland Ford" sticker on the side, but if you look closely on the car above the Mach 1 script, there's another small one right above there, and when I saw it I was like, "that's a dumb place for one" and it didn't make sense because there's already the other one. But they're cool to take or peel of and keep around.
  2. Another local dealership, Highland Ford, came in the late '60s or early '70s, and this 1973 Mustang wears the monogram of its home base
  3. Another one spied on a 1963 Chevy Bel Air
  4. Yeah I was thinking at least 12K or something around there. It is actually road-worthy already; I've seen it on the road, but also the guy smokes in those cars (he owns the black '61 T-bird, too). They are for sale, but I really don't think he wants to get rid of them.
  5. These are my dad's old A/FX cars and tracks. He got the Blazin' Brakes set for Christmas 1981. A couple years ago, we found and bought another Blazin' Brakes set, and a Daredevil Hazard set, though unfortunately that set had no cars. All the cars run great, and thanks to the new Auto Word ice road tucking set, new back tires were applied to all the old cars, at the expense of the transport trucks that came with the new set. My dad wrecked the Camaro when he was a kid, and painted it red, so when we found the Pit Kit for the 1970 Auto World Camaro, a tribute car was in order.
  6. *MOLE MOUND UPDATE* Went back to the mound about an hour ago and there was more dirt, but also a crow footprint in the dirt, and two little paw prints (probably one of the neigbour's many cats) so I'm not the only one out to get the little underminer
  7. I read over the little details stamped on the tire and the only obscure codes were "1335" and "H78-15"
  8. Picked this up in 2022 at our local vintage junk shop for $60 bucks. It is an original 1959 Olds 88 friction toy. Went and took some more nice shots of it. It actually still works, but it sounds atrocious.
  9. Just saw this li'l guy fluttering around in front of my grandma's garage. I was in fact able to get it on my finger for about 10 seconds before it flew away
  10. No, the tailights are just there as reflectors; they came off my grandfather's '74 Ford truck
  11. Came across a mole mound (grandma’s yard) but then the dirt started moving so there was actually a mole there as I was watching. Going to check the mound periodically tomorrow to see if I can play some whack a mole.
  12. That is a good idea, but I don’t know how many people have spare old car doors lying around. Would be neat to do an entire car like this.
  13. I actually have no idea, but knowing my art teacher I would imagine 100/100
  14. A little off the topic of "do they make them still", would this tire have some sort of date code on it, just to see what year it was produced?
  15. This is probably the most custom trailer out there; it was originally built in 1963 by my grandma's father, who was a skilled carpenter. He used the rear suspension from a '30 or '40 Chevy, and built it up from that platform. It was originally nothing special, at all, but after its complete overhaul in 2020, I've been adding trim pieces and badging just for fun. Before Restoration
  16. Well thanks for looking into that; can't believe there's no info on the tire; I have this one pictured but also one off the rim, and they must be the only two of their kind left!
  17. The Comet wagon is actually for sale; posted on facebook marketplace in classic cars in Sault Ste Marie Ontario for $22,000. Seems like too much for it, especially since it was left out in the snow all year ?. But it has dual exhaust which suggests a V8, and it’s a real neat ride
  18. I think it's because they use the beak to pry open pine cones, and use their tongue to pick out the seeds.
  19. Dumb squirrel getting too close to the garage (grandma's yard). Went up the oak tree, so I was tryina scare him off by asserting dominance by shaking the branches and shooing it away with my grandfather's old cane. Back in December 2019 - January 2020 me and him had an all-out war against the squirrels 'cause they were really being pests. All I can say is, during that time, a lot of squirrels died. My grandfather was pretty quick with his cane, not gonna lie.
  20. Blue Jays eating my raspberries from the bush in the back of our lawn. I’ve been having to pick them before they’re ripe in order to save them.
  21. I was wondering about that, too. It does in fact have the red interior, but I don’t believe it would have been a taxi; just a personal car.
  22. Alligator snapping turtles lure fish into their mouths by wiggling their tongue which looks like a worm.
  23. Yeah I went through it with the tag on hand and it confirmed stuff I already know about the car, but it was neat to know what the numbers and letters mean ?
  24. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
