Vintage chair from 1968 *CHROME*
Falcon Ranchero replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
What I found interesting about it was the mix of '50s Art Deco and '60s Psychedelic paisleys; and it turns out this set may have been a re-issue of an original '50s set, but adding the cool patterns made it more late '60s early '70s. By far the coolest piece of furniture I've seen. -
Here's a catchy theme song for the Beaumont; taken from a CBC Telecast back in the day Pontiac Beaumont 1969 Commercial.mp4

I actually had the pleasure to see a 1968 Beaumont SD (Special Deluxe) 396 in person at a local car show in 2023; I took the photo with a '90s film camera so the quality isn't the greatest.

Here in Sault Ontario, Michaels has absoultely no trace of kits or supplies. They used to have a whole isle dedicated to model cars, and then they got pushed to one shelf on the back wall, and now there's like puzzles and stuff. Kinda unfortunate, but being a border town, usually just get across the bridge to Sault Michigan and into Hobby Lobby, or farther down to St. Ignace where there's a real neat model car shop, and one in downtown Traverse city.

Really like the colour; definitely has potential. Or clear coat it and save the patina. Either way such a good looker -

Is this not the coolest chair you've ever seen?!?!?!?!?! It's my grandma's. Originally a set of five and a table, only this chair and another, as well as the table still exist.

Thanks guys; I actually found the Monarch Meteor book on both those websites you suggested; the Old Autos site has it for $5 less than transportbooks.com. I'm happy to say I am going to order it ?

Yesterday I saw a dark navy blue 1963 or '64 Plymouth Valiant Signet with a beige convertible top driving about. Seen it before at car shows. -

I totally agree; I mean I've been able to fuel my passion via car magazines such as Collectible Automobile (my personal favourite), Hemmings Classic car and Muscle Machines as well as Canadian Hot Rods Magazine and Muscle Cars Magazine. I also managed to pick up a whole bunch of Classic Car books, like Tad Burness' My Dad Had That Car which doesn't really apply to my dad, but from him to his dad. Funny that even though I can get any car info I want via online services, I like to read books because I like the big clear pictures. Plus, book pages don't burn your eyes the way a computer screen does.

Corvettes are very iconic American Sports cars that debuted in 1953, and since then have been a popular choice of fun transportation for eons.
