That's really nice; I built the same kit but did the regular Carosel Red GTO, but I feel I could've done a less traditional one that would have been just as cool, which yours totally is. Especially with the vinyl top ?

What did you see on the road today?
Falcon Ranchero replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Saw a red ‘53 or so Ford truck in my rear view mirror on my way home from college; it was waiting to go straight, I turned onto the road ahead of it. It’s like all red, like the bumpers and grille; essentially all the chrome was body colour. -

People are absolute crazy around here, too. My mom has me drive to school on some elaborate route instead of the highway, but you still can't escape stupidity.

Which would you Choose?
Falcon Ranchero replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Unfortunately, chains are; pretty sure they're illegal in our city because of little bits flying off and blowing tires. Bottom line nobody around here ever has chains on their wheels, or at least i've never seen them. Though I do know how they would add to the traction. If this winter is anything like last winter, there will be grass on Christmas, so not really worried about traction, but of course snow tires still are a must. -
Which would you Choose?

Thanks for all your opinons and knowledege, guys, I appreciate it. Still not sure entirely if I will even be able to make this choice; still waiting for a couple other factors to set in, but if anyone would like to check these cars out a little more, here are the links to the respective cars: 1988 Lincoln Town Car - Cars & Trucks - Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario | Facebook Marketplace | Facebook 69 Chevy Nova - Cars & Trucks - Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario | Facebook Marketplace | Facebook -

Which would you Choose?
Falcon Ranchero replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah that's the unfortunate part about Northern Ontario. But if the Nova was the choice, during winter I could just take a parent vehicle or get dropped off and picked up, which has been the norm so far, but winter storage space is limited, so I'm thinkin' Lincoln is definietly the winter choice too. -

Inching closer and closer to being able to have my own "set of wheels" but the pickin's are slim around here leaving two possible candidates: a 1988 Lincoln Town Car, and a 1969 Chevy Nova. Both are pretty cheap for the quality, but it all comes down to which would be more practical on the street. The Lincoln: $5,000 for an immaculate example from Florida. Only issue is that there are cracks in the Vinyl top; otherwise, a very good condition car for the price. Would be more practical in the snow, as I WILL BE WINTER DRIVING, so the Lincoln may be winner by default. OR there is an perfect example of what the Nova was intended to be: $6,800, it is a bare bones four-door, but it does have a radio and pretty sure it's automatic. Smaller size may be able to handle better than the Lincoln. Classic 6 Cylinder, but a car like that probably shouldn't be winter driven, even though it would be strictly to school and back. Not saying it is 100% sure that this choice will even happen, but just to get some more opinions, I would appreciate it.

Vintage chair from 1968 *CHROME*
Falcon Ranchero replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Not entirely sure… photographic evidence depicts the set as the original dining table as early as 1973, to as late as the mid-90s. Through that time, photos also showed some chairs bursting at the seams with stuffing, which became the demise of at least 3 of the chairs. The other existing chair resides in the basement with a tear along the middle of the seat and backrest. Said backrest has also faded yellow. The chair you see appears immaculate but has an atrocious weld job beneath the seat. Though it is solid as a rock. Not sure if reupholstery is an option for the other one… -
Nice to have you with us; BTW, real nice ‘69 Charger model. Love the colour and the redline tires ?

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?
Falcon Ranchero replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Back in 2022, a crow found the robin nest in the cedar tree in our backyard. Woke up to lots of chirping, peeked out the window, and there was a crow in the middle of the lawn picking something apart. Ran outside in my pyjamas and shooed it away to find a quivering baby robin who died shortly after I scared the crow. Turned around and there was a disoriented baby robin coming from under our patio. Ended up caring for it a couple days before it was able to go. Have a photo; I’ll add it on later. -

That’s neat; I grew up with something relatively similar; Thomas trains, you know, the ones with the faces. Though it is pretty juvenile, I used to have a ball setting it up and having them run along the track. Still have them as they don’t make them anymore so they could be worth something in the future.
