  1. Beautiful build. Two thumbs up.
  2. Thanks guys.
  3. Great build and combo. A different "slant" on a dragster !!
  4. Very nice beater restore ride.
  5. Nice build, looks real !!!
  6. And yet another one done up for my friend Jeff who will have this on a slot car chassis for drag racing. The wheels and tires are just for the pics. This is the Revell 54, a HORRIBLE kit. But Jeff likes the post car so here it is. I added some headlight and taillight bezels made from baremetal. This kit has not headlight reflectors, so its just silver paint. The rear windows on these things are too small and literally fall through the opening. Luckily I had an extra 54 lying around. And its window was a tad larger, still almost falls through. I added rear quarter windows made from cut down Revell 56 Chevy windows. Paint is Taymia British Green and Duplicolor white on the roof. With various weathering powders and the salt technique. I added "bird droppings" to this one. Oh, and as usual lots of dull coat. The next few he's going to have me do will be glossy cars. Im even gonna try my hand at a lace paint job.
  7. Nice build. Kinda Al Bundyish looking ride. Cool.
  8. Never play the bongos when Youre going down the stairs !
  9. Beautiful build all the way around. Great phototgraphy too. I wish theyd make a non telladega torino too. Id like to see more main streamers.
  10. Hi there and welcome. Although Im not sure if administration will approve of Your name or not.
  11. Wow !! Great looking MOPAR !!
  12. Great color combo, and great wheel choice.
  13. Well I paint a body with a red oxide (rust colored primer or paint ) first. Then I will put patches of random rubber cement. I will also use the salt technique. I will then add the top color. Once the paint is dry I scrub and or peel the rubber cement off. Ive also at times taken some duct tape and burnish it down at random points, and peel it off, thus removing paint. Just have to be careful not to stress the plastic and break it. If too much paint comes off, You can always brush touch an area. Or even mask off and spray a random primer or color.
  14. Thanks for all the compliments guys. Jeff wanted a white top. I thought of The Hunter when I was making this one.
  15. And yet another one done up rusty and crusty for my friend Jeff who will use this for slot car drag racing. AMT's 51 Chevy, done in pale yellow with a white top. With weathering powders, and the salt and rubber cement technique. I did the interior up too, although it may not be used, or at least all of it. Its a bummer that all that baremetal got dullcoated over. The chassis its on is only for photos.
  16. Looks great !!! very clean build.
  17. Love it. Rusty but trusty, and let's not forget crusty. Love the nice wheels.
  18. Great rustification. Just make sure you got your tetanus shot.
  19. Cool build looks well used. But one problem. Not enough pics.
  20. Thanks again guys. Now on to the next rusty one. If I ever work on one of my projects, it will be a miracle.
  21. Looks real, great job !! Everything is perfect
  22. Im not sure where the wheels came from. The fronts are from the AMT/ERTL 41 Ford Woody Wagon, I think. The Cragars are from some AMT kit most likely, maybe the Baldwin Motion Camaro ? All I know is the came out of my parts box.
  23. Actually most of ones I do for him are drag race only cars.. They do race oval and road course cars. They run both 1/8th and 1/4 scale drags.
