Nice kit,...I noticed one strange thing on the decal sheet,,,,,theres a shift pattern decal for the shift knob. However the kit has a automatic transmission only. I wonder if theres to be an alternate version of this kit in the future ? Or just an oversite. Still, a cool detail for another kit,....if that decal will form to the round knob that is.

Revell discontinued Del Rio wagon.

Lol sorry. I was just going by what my LHS said.....maybe he was fed a load of BS also.....? And the part about the bumper guards was tongue in cheek. Ha ha. Mis communications are a pain. But manufacturers have done stranger things.....I thought it might have been a licensing issue. With the way thing are with that. -

Cool. A fellow builder says our LHS confirmed it. Hopefully it's a misprint. I saw on here to at some point someone else said it too. -
$28.95 at my LHS.

Tesla vs Hellcat
kingiguana replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd take the Hellcat, and change out those Euro Looking wheels for something more muscle car looking. That car needs a Torq Thrust looking wheel. -
Welcome Eric, Im in Youngstown.

I built a couple of those as a kid,...would love to see it reissued.

Great cars,.....I love the cat. Reminds me of the time I made an video for My friends band. I was trying some Robot Chicken/Stop action kinda thing. And my cat became part of the video, when he attacked a battery operated Godzilla monster. It actually kind worked out, I just added the narration of a giant cat killing Godzilla.

Yes, very cool build. I did some searching of these cars, and as stated above Ive seen the all read taillights. And some with the amber, however Ive noticed the amber was darker looking on some cars, almost blended in with the red. Also noticed some didn't appear to have the inner bezel. Maybe like American spec vs. Foreign spec, and or different model years and or trim levels.

Nice weathering, just one nit pick,...the tires need some sanding of the tread. Great work though, just needs a tractor hooked up now. -
Will GM's problems ever end?
kingiguana replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I live in Youngstown, just miles from Lordstown, Ohio where Cruzes are built. I guess the local news reported the "stop sell" has been lifted already. Who knows ?? Its a mess, Yet their sales are up ? -

Revell Ed Roth 57 Bel Air - Suddenly It's 1963!
kingiguana replied to Karl LaFong's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I really wish Revell would just destroy the molds to these almost unbuildable kits. Or at least repair things like glass that falls through the openings, and the tons of flash. It's so sad to think that someone new to model building may buy these things, and give up on the hobby. I have a couple of the Revell 56 Chevies that I picked up in a collection I bought. The ones for this same era, all they are good for is maybe clunker builds. They are both serverely warped, the headlights don't even look like a 56, and I cant tell where the flash begins, and the parts I need begin. When it comes to opening doors, I would think that with todays technologies, they could do so much better. -
Sweet Vette !!

Great new on all these. Although I'd like to see some post cars ! Some wagons !! How about some Dodge trucks ?? An international perhaps ? The list goes on and on. Its all good.

Cool and its not molded in yellow, or green, or purple, or orange, or any other crappy color Johan used. I wish Johan stuff would get bought up again and reissued.

I had a 64 Pontiac, and it had the clear sections, but the metal rod could be seen through the clear areas. To make one truly accurate, You'd need to somehow put clear plastic over a metal rod, and still have the finger grooves. But those do look cool.

Wow !! Great on every level.
