  1. I applaud your tenacity. Had it been me, It would have been fed to the trash compactor after the gouges by the clamps.

  3. Right?! I had to re-read it several times. I was caught off guard. I expressed my dismay, but it sounded like he had made his mind up months, if not years, ago.
  4. Ok... here's my dumb question of the day... Lately, I've been noticing that several NNL's are ceasing to exist. I've never lived within a day's drive of a NNL to my knowledge, because they all seem to be confined to the east and west coast's. I live in the central US. Why are there so many of the NNL's ending? I have a hard time believing it would be due to attendance.
  5. Today, while chatting about my order, he told me that I am his last customer.
  6. Im interested in shirts as well. Regarding magazines getting published... Im a former avid hobby shop newsstand buyer of the magazine. Now that I no longer have a good hobby shop nearby, online through a vendor is my only option. I have thought about getting a subscription, but I must say that the "When is the next issue going to be published?" type comment's seem to come up regularly, and really have me thinking twice about committing to spending money for something I tend to expect to get regularly. Is this something that will be addressed soon? I understand Gregg can only do so much, and from what I understand, life has chosen his priorities for him, so I get it. I guess I'm just saying that I really, *REALLY* want to support MCM. But I need something more than what appears to be a haphazard publishing schedule. Your thoughts?
  7. Very, very cool. Big Freiburger and Finnigan fan here as well. Looking forward to seeing more!
  8. I haven't started my Ford GT LM yet, so I'm interested as well. Im planning on doing the Wynn's livery, but it looks like interior photos of that are scarce as well.
  9. Another update from one of my suppliers in Australia:
  10. I also build 1/48 scale aircraft, and I literally just got this in my inbox. Your mileage may vary:
  11. Well.. I just ordered it. Sam at 'Splash Paints' is going to mix me a custom blend of 'Electric Lemon Twist' for my 69 Coronet Super Bee project. Fingers crossed!
  12. My goal for my current project is to have the paint finish to match a 60's/70's high impact color..(in this instance 'Top Banana'), but with a with a deep, rich metallic/pearl/ candy finish. For lack of a better example, remember the Testors MM Aluma Yellow Pearl? That color, but as a color matching basecoat under a candy yellow 2k clear. What would be the ideal method to achieve such a finish as that? I was told that a pearl over a solid, could potentially make the yellow appear much more pale if too much is applied. Your thoughts?
  13. Awesome!! 👍 But...How much did you pay to get it here?
  14. I actually did a double take on your reply.... The eyes can be so deceiving at times.. 🤣 Meanwhile...it looks like @64SS350 and I have similar tastes. I passed on the first one.. then was kicking myself for doing so. I didn't let the 2nd one get away..
  15. Ok...but how much..total cost...did you pay to take it from your front porch to your hobby room?
  16. Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to comment John! Heading there to over to order..
  17. Copy that. I've never ordered from MCW myself either. Similarly, I've only ever ordered from Splash. So thanks for looking that up.
  18. @Bainford @Rodent Awesome thanks guys! Quick question... On the MCW website, when I select the Go Mango, I gives me the option of adding the primer, the clear and the 'cement'... So is the 'cement' their term for the hardener?
  19. Self explanatory. Anyone have a trusted source here in the US? Thank you kindly in advance!
  20. After UPS misplaced the first one, (along with $395 worth of other items) and I got tired of waiting for a refund, I ordered this on 21 Aug, literally right before the Tariff hammer dropped... Finally.... My precious....
  21. My situation is almost identical... I ordered a Chinese manufactured product on 21 Aug and it arrived today with no additional fees attached.(??) I think I snuck in under the wire as well.
  22. @oldcarfan I'm not considering purchasing a MFH kit at the moment, but any idea of how much these additional fees are once you clear the $800 threshold? I paid $1200 for Cobra Daytona two years ago...
