  1. As for re issues, great, allows us to build older models without paying collector prices. Big plastic has always suffered from bad decisions in picking subject matter. I'm basically a 1/25 light medium heavy truck builder. Back in the very early days, one of the very first kits was the IMC Dodge L 700 tilt cab. Never was a popular truck, never admired. Dud. If they would have picked anything else, they would have done much better. Revell did do a nice 50's KW conventional and White tilt cab, but done in 1/48 scale, another dud decision IMO. The California Hauler Pete, the first AMT blueprint truck, was a popular truck in 1:1, and was a hit with AMT and started the big truck model boom of the 70's where we got new kit after new kit it seemed like every 6 months. IMO we could relive another truck boom if big plastic choses the right subject matter. The new Mack B model planned could be the start of another truck boom. The key is bringing back classic old school trucks one after the next. I'm sorry to say, new modern truck models are of no interest to me and would never purchase one.
  2. Great looking build! I hope the frame will be longer in the new kit, the protype appears it won't even accept a sleeper without hitting the trailer. Of course, with some modifications, we could give the B61 a western states look, long wheelbase and Budd wheels🙂
  3. Agreed, appears the new kit will be a spin off of the 1/25 First Gear. If it's successful, hopefully more die cast subjects become plastic kits. Would love to see a Big Job kit in 1/25.1/50 (1/48) First Gear 59-3069 1956 Ford F-800 grain canopy covered Werner truck | eBay
  4. IMO, the gravel trailer would be a perfect match.
  5. Revell spray on chrome. These are exciting times, will be patiently awaiting high quality '58 and '59 conversions to complete the series. Thanks to AMT for the '60 re issue, without it, no one would bother with the previous years which are all unique and deserve recognition.
  6. Working on final stages of Best Model Car Parts excellent '57 shortbed conversion. Used a Revell '56 F 100 engine and steering wheel and column. AMT '60 interior tub. The grill and bumper will be chromed.
  7. Nice to see one of these recent medium duty offerings built, looks very sharp, very popular vehicle back in the day. Great fabrication work to pull it all together, like the Texaco paint scheme and decals.
  8. Thanks, count me in also, this is the era of trucks I remember as a kid that got me interested in truck modeling, but couldn't really build exactly what I was looking for with all the wide nose kits that were pushed by AMT.
  9. You did it again, excellent fleet truck build, one of your best!. Super realistic looking, everything is spot on for a hard working, no frills rig in linehaul service. Really like the upgraded tire and wheel choice and especially the Rockwell rear hubs, a crucial detail IMO.
  10. Looks great, a very specialized piece of equipment. Nice fabrication work. After watching older TV series re runs, you often notice studio trucks in the background, but they were simple common box trucks.
  11. Wow, that is one huge garbage hauler, hope the Soprano's ordered this DM 600 with an automatic trans. Super realistic looking, great color choices, very nice build!
  12. Impressive piece of apparatus! Really like the classic White cab and fabrication work, looks super sharp!
  13. Thanks again for all the likes on this build.
  14. Nice project. I have always been fond of the long wheelbase rigs. Great detailing work!
  15. Fantastic build! Really appreciate all the extra work to make this project happen. Super realistic, ready for the next paving job!
  16. A 3d resin print of the '69 Dodge 4x4. Very good quality and went together well. Printed by member zaina. Wheels and hubcaps ( probably more appropriate if 2WD) are aftermarket offerings.
  17. Right, now that the '60 kit is readily available and one of AMT's best sellers, it would be IMO, a no brainer. I believe, and sure others believe also, the '59 is a cleaner fresher easier to look at front end than the '60's front end. I personally would purchase 4 or 5 quality '59 conversion kits ( grill with hood , including mesh piece and letters and side hood emblems) by who ever offers them first.
  18. Look forward to the build. Juice or Air? Budds or Spokes?
  19. The same 8' '57-'60 bed was used on '62- '63 2WD and '62-'65 4WD F 100's. Also used on '62-'63 2WD and '62-'66 4WD F 250. A longer 9' version was used on the 61-'66 F 350 pickups. '64-'66 F 100 2WD never came with the '57-'60 bed. The '57-60 bed could be used on the Moebius '65 if built as a 4WD F 100 or F 250 or '66 F 250 4WD
  20. A '61 Heavy Chevy is available. Hopefully a GMC is in the works.
  21. Or a 3d resin U Haul body, here is a nice one in much smaller scale, the very popular '76-'79 "TC" No automatic, no AC, no power windows or steering in those days. 1:87 scale 76 Ford U-Haul - Imgur
  22. Agreed, AMT chose, for whatever reason, a low production extra long wheel base camper hauler version for there Ford pickup kit of the 70's. I think we deserve an update 5 decades later.
