  1. Never mind the model. What did you do with the contents of the bottle?. This is what REALLY matters!.
  2. Good question to ponder around the pot belly stove with buddies.
  3. Not much tv when a kid, too busy riding the bike, exploring the world, making models, being annoying. Sitting in front of the tube looked like a waste of my valuable time.
  4. I believe that the actual problem with work is that we start doing something we may like or love, but after some time (days, weeks, years) we find out that not everything is nice and easy. So we change trades ( you did, me too) and start all over again. And again...
  5. We have different opinions but we don't need to start calling the other side names. I love civilization.
  6. Horseshoes don't explode. But I didn't mention about being in the receiving end.
  7. You may want to replace the radiator struts, they seem to be too large: https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/news/gallery/this-certified-1931-cord-l-29-cabriolet-has-enough-room-for-both-you-and-your-golf-clubs_24.jpg https://c8.alamy.com/comp/2WXMRG1/the-1929-cord-l-29-inline-8-engine-2WXMRG1.jpg https://topworldauto.com/photos/0d/12/cord-l-29-lagrande-boattail-speedster-replica-to-cross-the-block.jpg
  8. If you feel courageous enough to take apart the Franklin to make a copy of the engine...
  9. If somebody claims to love his/her work it may be: 1- they are the business owners. Be in good terms with them. 2- they make a lot of money. Don't screw it up. 3- something wrong in their heads. Stay away!.
  10. Horse shoes don't explode. Damage is limited to actual contact surface.
  11. Also (the vast majority) that bust their rears to get paid as little as possible to survive to keep showing up to take more. Repeat and recycle forever.
  12. ... or stealing the right technology...
  13. I used to work at an helicopter repair facility, not as a mechanic but at the parts dept. Remember all too well the complaints from the mechanics about the "legit parts" not quite fitting. Left about 15 years ago, went full time into home construction. All the same BS all over again...
  14. Remember when all the US tech went to China and those guys started making legal products to export during the day and clones with fake markings at night flooding the Asian markets with them?
  15. Electrics are good to run errands and going to work within reasonable distances. Charge them at home. Going for a distance is another story. I particularly don't love them but I would have one to drive around, like going in a glorified golf cart. Being an old fart and not giving a hoot about what the rest of the world thinks or says about me is quite relaxing...
  16. ... don't see many Chevy Volt around here...
  17. Military timeline: 1- Not yet 2- Not me 3- Not that bad
  18. Nobody ever died of "almost"...
  19. Having lotsa $$$ is a good substitute.
  20. If you don't succeed the first time skydiving is not for you. Internet knowledge.
  21. Better be thought to be a fool than opening your mouth and remove any doubt. Mark Twain.
  22. To change forums I either go to the top, click "forums" and go from there. If I was in the intended forum but want to go into a different thread just click "back" or left mouse button. If it doesn't work for you probably there is a misconfiguration issue or some other issue. What operative system and browser do you use?
  23. Lada anyone? Or Yugo...
