  1. As I posted before somewhere else, life would have been easier if I had attached the sides to the floor instead of to the roof. Now working on the interior cabinets, fitting them is a pain. Learning curve: screw up, fix, forget, mess up again...
  2. FWIW this truck was extensively used by a company called "TAXI-FLET", a service pretty much like a taxi service (with meter and all) used to carry small loads. While the company is still in business I could not find a picture of this particular model in company colors.
  3. I read the rules, but I did not see clearly spelled that I should contact carsntrucks4you BEFORE posting, or that I was not supposed to post by myself at all. I sent him a proposed clarification (see underlined proposed changes below) but got no answer, so I guess I will just stay away. No answers allowed in the ongoing Auto quiz thread No comments in the ongoing Auto quiz thread that give any clues or suggestions to the car in question A PM must be sent to the one who has started the ongoing thread before posting new quizzes The PM must contain Year of production, Manufacturer and Type In case of violating the rules the quiz will be closed immediately and no winners will be announced Only carsntrucks4you is allowed to post new pictures in this thread
  4. Here: https://www.classicautomall.com/vehicles they have lots of cars for sale. The interesting part is that they usually post pictures of the underside. Database is searchable, downside would be that we never know for how long the very nice and detail-oriented pics will be there. My suggestion would be to look for what you want and download. Each vehicle is shown with at least 40+ images outside, inside and under. Probably more detail that you will ever want.
  5. If your friend made a 3D I am interested in buying a copy if that is possible.
  6. Nice build. Now I am getting crazy ideas about making a display to have it floating off the floor and going in circles. Something with magnets. if there is interest I may elaborate on the idea.
  7. Nice work!. One of my WIPs is also a VW T2 but a camper truck and trailer. I will post it maybe tomorrow.
  8. Nice little rascal!
  9. Being an addict to unusual and/or crazy prototypes I made this after seeing a picture of a real one somewhere. Googled "house truck" ... and the rest is history. Had to beg ($$$) for forgiveness from wife for having the dining room table full of stuff for a while (it it a large model) but eventually everything went back to almost normal.
  10. Going thru all the posts now. Found a couple that caught my interest. AND IT WILL BE ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT!
  11. All those items are now being sent for auction. Sitting at the shelf caused a lot of damage.
  12. If you become addicted to it I will deny all the way to the electric chair being the instigator...
  13. Goodwill is a chain of stores that sell items that people donate. Probably there is something like it over there.
  14. Now I am into Goodwill... until it gets destroyed also. Saw an item with a reserve price. Everything they auction off is donated, so it is pure greed. BTW they don't ship outside the US.
  15. Been working on it solving issues that I created myself. No visible progress so far. Suicidal I guess...
  16. There I go into another rabbit hole... and crazy ideas...
  17. I was into ebay from the beginning (late 90s) when you could get very nice deals on strange/old stuff, but then it got turned into a mess of dealers and scalpers. So no more...
  18. Thanks!. Right now is on the WIP pile...
  19. I am having a similar problem with a diecast hood that had an opening that I filled: after filing the gap between the hood and filler piece running a nail on the joint and looking at it unpainted looks and feels great, but after painting there is a pesky line that keels showing up no matter what.
  20. There are also soldering materials that melt at different temperatures that allow to solder things on top of previous assemblies without disturbing them.
  21. Very nice!. Probably an unexpected benefit of the exhausts pointing up was an increase in downforce.
