  1. Bugatti or something like that most likely. Probably for a foreign vehicle.
  2. I've used Niko's Technique, only with pearl white. You could add clear yellow or orange to it if the lenses are that color in real life. As evidenced by Niko's pic it actually looks pretty good!
  3. That came out great. Excellent workmanship really stands out on this.
  4. Neat, saw the fellow on TV, just a normal guy, that makes it a great story.
  5. As far as cases of superbird vomit goes, this one rates pretty good
  6. Sure looks like the hotwheels!
  7. I just now looked at it again. I had asked the seller if it was a model or real car and got no response. I have seen pics of real cars advertised as what the built model looks like, so it's gonna be interesting what this really is.
  8. I like the free shipping in a priority mail envelop. I asked the seller a ? we'll see what happens
  9. I think the question was "other than ovals". Today's nationwide is interesting. Course too dry for rain tires, yet to wet for slicks? What the.....SO, since they started on slicks, if it begins to rain, will they red flag it until it gets really wet? I just dont get this. I was thinking the bumper-car thing that goes on in NASCAR would be infinitely compounded if the drivers had to deal with drastically changing conditions, but most arent that limited in ablity. Perhaps the powers that be have the answer. I think it would be great fun to just put 'em all out there and see what happens.
  10. I put the old Revell Willys, the one with opening doors, on it. All it needed was trimming of the Miss Deal floorpan. Seems to me I messed around with a few Vettes too. Its very popular to swap other bodies onto the chassis, I'm sure others will have more feedback.
  11. Wow, they're finally going to address that trans issue I had in my 1979 El Camino. Whew, I feel better now.
  12. Outstanding, the workmanship really shows when you blow up those pics!
  13. This is how I organize projects, built models that have fallen apart, and large things like chrome trees and body parts.
  14. Doesnt lownslow ( Frank Rizzo ) have a way of doing these? Might ask him.
  15. Now that is a tattoo I wont forget.
  16. The only time I see driverless cars as being a real benefit is for drunk drivers. Would be nice if a normal car could go on autopilot when it detected the driver had imbibed too much.
  17. Ok thx for clearing that up for me William. I went searching for the info I knew I had regarding the speed equip packs, and found out I was the one who started that rumor.....
  18. Seems to me I once saw the roadster chassis speed equip having been done in resin by Replicas and Miniatures.....they do the motorcycles, so this is certainly do-able in resin.
  19. Featured on the cover of another mag, spring/summer 2013!
  20. Here ya go http://www.jbot.ca/cars/misc/newyorktaxi.shtml
  21. I have most of the Cox kit from the 60's and this certainly looks like it was cast from that kit, minus the wheels. The tires look like they may be modified from the originals which were two piece plastic, as I remember they were pretty good sized for the day. The Cox kit had chrome plated covers for the headlights, and I believe I've seen someone sell clear vacuumed pieces in the slot car listings on ebay. The "engine" insert looks completely different though. My kit had a dual carb manifold insert while this looks to be a fuel injection piece. I cant tell for sure from these pics.
  22. Another candidate for BarryBoys shed of the week. http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1 As for that "husky" blonde, judging by that car, I'd bet that her drapes dont match her carpets.
  23. I saw the "real" one at the drive-In. Does that make me old? The remake, well, just another Nicolas Cage movie, and a couple of hours out of my life I will never get back.
