I helped a friend buy a ford a couple of years ago. We did everything online except the walk around and test drive of course. I even negotiated the price through email. Pretty much a painless experience. The only issue was actually paying for the car. Despite having a cashiers check, and an appointment, it still took 3 hours. I'm sold on this online thing and dealers who will do it.
The last one in my town left well over a decade ago, taken over by "emminent domain". The building was raized and property completely defoliated. Of course, it remains barren and unused by the city still today.
The Street Machine, SS Wagon, and Street Vette are all 1/24. I would certainly expect that all Monogram/Revell 1/24 Vette kits from 1968 to 1982 (?) would be basically the same kit underneath.
I think the Street Machine is also the same basic kit. I built the SS wagon years ago, and have the Street Machine which sure looks to be the same. This one is on ebay for $2.95

I really like that last one, but I dont get, what with the wussified CA DMV code we have, how does this guy drive it on the street? Seems to me the fenderless rules had a weight limit, and were finally outlawed in the 70's.
