  1. Sorry to hear .my Prayers go out to you and your family.
  2. I haven't seen that done to a van before. I love the concept and you executed it well.
  3. Nice work I like the hood.
  4. great execution. I also like the included benchwork as well ,always nice to see the method to the madness.
  5. I think my kids just like to hit each other because slug bug and bruiser cruiser turned into just rhyming whatever car they saw and a flurry of fists a couple of examples Cadillac smack , mustang bustang etc . ridiculous.
  6. I haven't seen anything that I wouldn't want to build ,I often wonder if more builders would have an interest if there were more options. Also I agree on the dirt bikes and an atv would be cool too.
  7. I knew the name but couldn't remember why it stuck out so much in looking over his topics it came back to me .... when he lost his best friend Rex that post really got to me . Here's to Tom and Rex reunited.
  8. Any additions before this goes to archive?

    Mako Show Rod

I like the finished project and the wip was very helpful also.
  10. I have no idea what you just said but I find it fascinating. I am familiar with the 3d printing but not all that goes into it.you have an interesting project that I look forward to learning more about. Also keep putting it out there as the more people we have working in this medium the more it will advance.
  11. Nice clean build ,great job!
  12. I bought this when it came out but it is outside my wheelhouse and I have been hesitant to start it because it is different than what I am used to . This walkthru that you are showing us has really helped clear up alot of questions I had about this kit . thank you I really appreciate it.
  13. Happy birthday! I would get one kit at a time so you can focus on that kit and do a good job and pick up tools and supplies as you go.It is important to keep a balance of kits and tools to do better on the next one .
  14. And yet still no pictures of all the contents,I saw this at the lhs tonight thought the art was cool then saw the built model on the side and no options for the engine. I passed. if Revell had only added current engine upgrades and maybe something for the interior or even all the parts from previous issue i would have made the purchase.
  15. I am not an expert on these modifieds but perhaps there is some stuff you can use here www.dirtmodeler.com look at the online store and go ahead and read through the how tos lots of good info.
  16. As always nice ,clean build. I would like to see some work in progress because I suspect there is a lot more going on than just painting and slapping on some different wheels.
  17. I know, but I just have to know.
  18. it took awhile but is it ITs a mad mad mad mad world?
  19. not bad for a first model. One thing you could try even on this one is bare metal foil . it is an adhesive backed chrome foil used for thing like window trim ,scripts, and anything else that is a little too narrow to paint .you basically stick it on the trim ,burnish and then carefully trim with a sharp hobby knife. Is your tubbed dragster going to be a large scale like this one ?I think scratch building may be a little ambitous but you gotta start some where.although building a few more models out of the box and learning some solid fundamentals would go a long way . specific questions will be answered more often than extremely broad questions because there is so many different ways to accomplish building a model . good luck and have fun!
  20. off to a good start.
  21. Andy do you usually fly or drive? I would like to fly but my old lady (she is gonna be researching geneology stuff) won't fly so driving is probably going to be the mode of transport for us.
  22. Well consider yourself lucky ,I mostly get blank stares and a few uh huhs. My wife is supportive but not very interested.
  23. a model club meeting helps too.
