  1. Good call , that truck was sweet back then. what are you using for tires? I hope you can get it finished.
  2. To keep it low and weight distribution, this was a purpose built race car hauler designed to be fast.
  3. A single car accident Porsche Carrera gt lost control hit a tree and exploded . Paul was the passenger ,driver also died
  4. Paul Walker died in a car accident today .
  5. That is cool . I did a Google search just to see other brush breakers ,all I can say is they are cool. I cant wait to see the progress on this one.
  6. That's why we never get any new 4x4 kits , not enough interest. Those tires look pretty decent though.
  7. You get mad props for doing a kit review of a kit that you have in hand . A few pics of the kit content would be cool .
  8. I feel your pain, I'm now curious too . Sorry I don't have any ideas at the moment.
  9. That is a really nice looking vette!
  10. Nice work, glad you joined up . Let us know if you have any questions .
  11. Does anyone remember the yellow emission flag that popped up over the odometer after a certain number of miles ?
  12. I never really liked the tube with the wire already in it. Its hard to cut, shape the ends and get to stay glued . I would recommend using appropriately sized tubing with wire placed in it .
  13. I like NNL shows . I go to NNL North every year . I would like it if more hobby shops would have store contests so we could meet more modelers that may not be in local clubs.
  14. I used to have a really cool link to a bunch of these types of trucks . Nice work .
  15. I had just started earning money and purchased a vintage Imc Volkswagen kit for $35 (regular kits were going for $7-$8 Johan kits $5) the body was slightly warped. I read some where to place in hot water and bend back to shape , well to me hot water was boiling water . That sucker shrunk faster than a Shrinky Dink .
  16. Detail Master , Aber and M.A.S. all make photo etch hood hinge kits. you may have to mix and match . I can't think of a way to get the look and function with necessary strength in 1/25th scale. The detail master nascar hood hinge set maybe a good starting point for no other reason than seeing how it works. Good Luck .
  17. Welcome back. Great to have you aboard.
  18. Great intro ! Hopefully we'll get to see some of your works in progress and those old photos you mentioned . Welcome!
  19. George I think he wanted to know which was the most current issue number , not your current issue with the magazine .

    Renault 16...

Great build! I saw one on ebay and thought of this one. what's next?
  21. I think the math is skewed, I don't think completed is the right "bench"mark. As previously mentioned I have a lot of started , ongoing projects that I work on as the skills or needed parts avail themselves . My son James however has to have a 1200% build rate as he's built 12 of my snap kits ,unless my math is off.
  22. That is some pretty nice work there! I like the stucco finish and the weathering is great too!
  23. rubber cement will also work but takes a bit to dry. sometimes I'll use liquid cement to just tack stuff together just use it sparingly and in a spot that you can easily repair if needed .
  24. Tom I'm glad you're here , I'm sorry for your loss . I hope the infernal interweavings of the cyberblockade don't prevent you from sharing your work, because I think you have a lot to share with us . Welcome !
