  2. Thanks !I think I just need to start soldering junk and learn via trial and error.I suppose I need to go to radio shack for a soldering mat.
  3. That is cool that you got your name on that packaging and the hood is pretty sweet too!was this a first or is this old hat for you?
  4. I think it is mostly the bigger trucks but I'm sure no one will get mad at a light duty being posted.

  12. I love it.
  13. So anyway I stopped by Michael's craft store and was checking stuff out and junk while walking through the wire mesh aisle right next to the armature wire I found some self adhesive covering by Con-Tact for arts and crafts there was a decent looking leather patterned one that looks pretty good for say leather seats or maybe straps for your early stock cars or some older race cars or tonneau covers. also there were some described as silk matte which would look good for seats and other things there were some flocked sheets in red and green .there are a few other different varieties that I feel have that scale look and feel . they come in 8.5x11 sheets varying in counts from three to six depending on the style they were priced at about 5.99 per pack. check it out and let us know what other uses you find for it.hope this is helpful.By the way don't count on the adhesive too much as it isn't that sticky. for the roof I used interfacing and spray adhesive.
  14. looks pretty good. is that the Imex kit?
  15. Nice work,I like the colors you used and the engine compartment looks great.
  16. I am not ready for pounding out body panels I am referring to small simple stuff like leaf springs, grilles for now just gentle curves and basic angles.
  17. neat car .good movie too.
  18. Great job replicating your old ride .out of curiousity what did you replace the real one with?
  19. All I need is a roll of duct tape and a stick of gum.
  20. is there a primer on working with these somewhere?I need to do some scratch building that would benefit from the use of metal and was just curious if the usual tools I use will work (Xacto)for cutting and filing or if it will wreck my saw blades and files. I could also use some pointers on soldering as it has been quite some time since I've soldered anything and have forgotten how to .
  21. Did you say "yoot"?nice build so far looks cool with out the rear wheel wells hogged out.
  22. nice lookin rod . it will be nice to see what you come up with next.
