  1. Nice job,I find these parts box builds to be some of the most interesting builds because things get thrown together in such a random way.how about another to go heads up against this one.
  2. I like it.great job on the paint and color scheme.
  3. nice paint job .I also like the theme!
  4. what those guys said also nice job on the opening doors!
  5. What a fun diorama,it seems that arranged properly those campus friends are just made for such a scene right out of the box.thanks for an enjoyable diorama that is car related and not a garage.not that there's anything wrong with a garage scene.
  6. great job ,I have that same project going but I used a different donor kit but it's funny that we both approached the warped body the same way.
  7. I've looked at all the topics you've posted and I have to say ,your work is fantastic and I like the unique style keep it up and keep posting those pics!

    WW3 Chevelle

looks perfect for the deathrace buildoff. I like the whole thing but the license plates say it all .
  9. perhaps trying the process more than once would work . start with the red then blue maybe for the red dunk have a little blue and for the blue dunk use a little red I don't know just thinkng out loud. seems like a technique that just takes some experimenting .
  10. I like the color.the grille works well also .
  11. It looks pretty good to me .and nice scratch building.
  12. nice execution,I thought this kit would only be good for parts.
  13. I like it . top notch
  14. first the lil t now this .What's next 1/8th scale wheels on a 1/12 body? you are quite possibly insane, well at least entertaining. keep it up !
  15. If you can't get the plastic to work maybe using two part epoxy putty would be easier to shape.
  16. I don't think I've had this much fun since the Lil' T. keep it up CB!
  17. no apologies necessary,I'm glad you did I look back at alot of old posts too but there's no way I'll ever get through them all . there is a ton of forgotten masterpieces floating around here. and this is one sweet truck
  18. welcome and looking forward to the pics!
  19. sorry I didn't see this sooner . Lacquer for models is by far the best way to go,it dries fast and covers well. avoid the enamels as they are very slow to cure however that can be overcome by using automotive reducers, and acrylics are water based and have their pros and cons .when using lacquers designed for real cars be sure to use a good automotive primer to prevent crazing the plastic.the testors lacquers you shouldn't have any problems with.welcome aboard hope this helps. oh yeah the tamiya paint is pretty freakin good too.
  20. also those garages are available without the tools if you need more space.
  21. Try not to over do the scene by trying to put everything in the box into your display plan it out and try to tell a story for example a teenaged girl and her father working on changing the oil a simple job that doesn't require a lot of tools and is easy to convey to the veiwer.sometimes simpler is better in a diorama.
  22. Clay I hope you aren't spray painting near a gas water heater.
  23. I like the stuff you come up with. This one is particularly interesting and unique.
  24. Glad to hear Lauren is back at it and I look forward to seeing it in person in june!(or maybe you two could come to a meeting before that ) I think she has picked out a great color.keep up the great work Lauren
  25. if your need just a slight rounding of the corners cutting the sides to shape and gluing should be adequate.if you need a more aggressive bend cut the plastic to length then put it in some hot water . I noticed when doing the hot water method that the plastic will bend in one direction so make sure your cut pieces are cut the same way .I wish i knew how to do diagrams to make this more clear.hope this helps good luck
