  1. maybe put a tube one size bigger than what your using and then use the same size drill bit to find the center then use the desired size drill bit for the hole .
  2. It's my favorite show because they actually explain what they are doing and why and then they show most steps in the fabrication.for wheels check out RPPhobby or so real concepts.
  3. I think you captured the look perfectly. nice job!
  4. sounds sweet . xtreme 4x4 on spike did the same mod and would be good reference if you need it . good luck and keep us posted.
  5. I haven't seen any of the current aston martins availablae as kits but there are a few older kits the db4 and db5 are out there the db 4 was out awhile ago by monogram a decent kit but a little finicky the db5 is a japanese kit it doesn't have a lot of detail but looks nice.hope this helps and good luck
  6. Great job Terry. Those guys were crazy and brilliant.I think you said it had an aircraft engine ,it looks big but man that thing must have sounded mean going top speed. does the real car still exist?
  7. Nice combo. your paint jobs are top notch.
  8. You did a great job on this one .To your credit it looks great with the top on or off and there is enough difference to make it seem like two different cars I think that makes it a great design .the color is a nice choice also.basically what I am trying to say is I like it a lot.
  9. fabulous builds glad you posted up. your drawings are pretty awesome too.I look forward to seeing some of your in progress stuff as it seems you're packing a lot of know how and a unique take. And those paint jobs ain't too shabby neither .

Nice work and solid modifications.and holy cow that is an impressive paint job being that it came from a spray can.I can't wait to see what you can do with the air brush!
  11. Great job Curt. Thanks for the heads up Bob.
  12. "I said DON'T touch the models on the contest tables"
  13. you can also try a product called renshape. it is on the pricy side but it is definately the way to go if you want to carve.when using this or other woods to create a masterpiece the right tools help a lot. a good band saw or dremel jig saw are a great way to start.
  14. Holy Cow that is very nicely built .I think this is the nicest one i've seen built.Mine is only started but I quickly lost interest when I found the fujimi curb side .
  15. Cool build . I wonder if there are any LSRs that don't use a color in their name . are there any exterior adornments in photo etch like hood pins or buckles ? wait don't answer that it's an old kit so probably not. carry on but keep us posted ! it really looks neat and big.
  16. I second that more pics!
  17. That's gonna be killer and I love the name.
  18. try it with gloss black it's the key to the whole process. also Treehugger Dave just posted some pointers on the use of this product .I don't know how to do links to other threads so you'll have to check out his topics.
  19. I like that profile shot ,nice to see a different way to chop the top . Will the front suspension be any lower or is that how it will ride?Love your work!
  20. Thanks I think you will be able to see it so the added detail will come in handy .Now I just have to find that 41 woody hidden in my stash somewhere ,half the fun finding parts in a kit that you forgot about . I guess the 41 will have to be built custom
  21. looks like the 40 convertible will have to be built stock
  22. Nice work ,and held up well for being 15. you got skills!
  23. Please contact a doctor immediately. You are obviously SICK! neat mod though.
  24. wow that seems to be a great bargain .it's hard to believe that this was never offered as a kit . the upcoming list also looks interesting . I try to stay away from die casts but if it's something that I really like I'll do it . I can't believe the price seems to good to be true .
  25. Welcome aboard feel free to post up some pics there's a tutorial around here some where . just don't ask George 53.
