  4. This truck was strted quite a while ago. I worked on the actual truck for a little over two years. This was my first venture in scratch building. I need to get back and finish it. I need to have some custom decals made for it. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

  8. The only problem I have found with the Detailer is that it comes off after a while. It did that on the grille of a Dodge Ram Dually that I enter in a contest and I have started to use acrylics as a wash now. I just picked uo some Citadel black wash to try after hearing some good results from fellow builders. We'll see how it works.
  9. I'm building a '78 corvette in 1/16th scale. What size wires do you to detail the engine? Hosted on Fotki
  10. Very nice model!
  11. That is really cool! I love Jeep and I love them lifted. I miss my CJ every sunny day! Leave it 2 door! Get another for the 4 door!
  12. Very cool! Love the lights!
  13. Boy oh boy, The skies the limit when it comes to storing model parts! I've found that I love containers. Don't ask me why. It just happened that way! Everything from boxes to plastic storage containers, tool boxes and more. I even have friends and family member give me containers as gifts! I'll take some photos tonight to post.
  14. These are some old MPC models from the early 80's. I have had a facsination with these little Mopars having owned an '82 Dodge Omni 024 and a '85 Dodge Daytona. I also liked the early Chevy Cavilier. I just had to pick up Jimmy Flintstone's Cavilier Sedan Delivery just because it looked cool! Yes, that is the Plymouth TC3 kit. I just liked the look of these little models and I think they look great slammed to the ground with big tires in the rear. They will all be treated with blacked out windows and a fresh coat of paint! These will be quick little projects to go between my bigger projects. 15. That is pretty cool!! Excellent scratchbuilding!! Waiting on more photos!!
  16. Marcos my man! Awesome build!! It must be see in person to see all of the great details!! I respect everyone opinions, but if I were to get bogged down in the details of the quality of a kit I would end up never building anything! Where's the fun in that! I was looking through my photos from the meeting the other day and I found this picture of your model. I like to call it; "The Man Behind the Model" Hosted on Fotki
  17. Here it is finished! I had a blast building it! I started with the Revell Diecast Tomb Raider Jeep. I scratchbuilt a new rollcage. Instead of putting the rear seat in I added plastruct diamond tread and covered it with BMF. I added a stokes basket, surfboard, flippers & gear bags. I also added a whip antenna from Policecarmodels.com, radio and emergency lights on the hood. I stripped the chrome off the wheels and painted them with Tamiya Silver. Decals came from Lindberg Baywatch Toyota P/U kit. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki The only thing I need is a pretty girl to go with it!
  18. This model is a combination of a Modelhaus resin kit and a Revell Chevy Caprice police car snap kit. It will be built as an EMS Supervisor's car. I have added a parts box lightbar and the rims & tires from the Revell Chevy Impala police car so far. The interior was mated with the Revell kit's interior tub and painted with a Duplicolor Tan. It is painted with Duplicolor Dark Toreador Metallic (T413). It's a pretty neat little kit from Modelhaus. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  19. Good looking wagon!! I like the modifications and nice choice on the paint!
  20. Here is the Ranchero outside. The grape enamel looks darker than my previous photo. Hoping to finish the interior this weekend. Hosted on Fotki
  21. Here is a current build I'm working on that I hope will be finished soon. I hope it qualifies. I started with the Revell Diecast Tomb Raider Jeep. I scratchbuilt a new rollcage. Instead of putting the rear seat in I added plastruct diamond tread and covered it with BMF. I added a stokes basket, surfboard, flippers & gear bags. I also added a whip antenna, radio and emergency lights on the hood. I stripped the chrome off the wheels and painted them with Tamiya Silver Leaf. Decals came from Lindberg Baywatch Toyota P/U kit. I hope to get more painting done this weekend. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  22. Lookin' Good!
  23. I did some painting over the weekend and here is what I have so far. Tell what you think. It's grape over silver two-tone. What's the best way to clean up the line between the two colors? Should I clear coat first or what? Just looking for some advice. Thanks. Hosted on Fotki
