  1. That is a very nice Chevy!! Great looking interior!!
  2. Okay, I received some of the promos for some quick projects. 91 & 92 Geo Storm '89 Chevy C1500 P/U '95 Chevy S-10 Blazer '78 Chevy Chevette '82 Chevy El Camino These will find their way to my workbench shortly!
  3. Bob, You can cover them with tape or slip them in a latex glove. You can place your parts on a long piece of painter's masking tape. You can also get some alligator clips attach them to a small wood dowel. It won't matter if you get paint on them. I got some of those with plenty paint on them over the years. The possibilites are endless! I made this paint stand from wire coat hangers and a piece of left over 1" x 5" x 10" pine. I can paint car bodies, surf boards, an entire sprue or whatever. Hosted on Fotki I made 3 other short paint stands specifically for paint bodies. Now, I'm not limited to having to wait when a good weather comes around. I paint most of my bodies outside. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I hope this helps!
  4. Cool Projects!
  5. Very cool! Love the graphics!
  6. That is very cool!!
  7. I want to ask the question. Has anybody used eModelcars to sell their kits. I have a number of kits that I want to sell and I'm considering using the site to do that. I'm considering posting one or two model kit tomorrow. It looks easy enough, just trying to make the best decision for me. I also want to get those models out there for those who will want to build them. Let me know your thoughts here or PM me. Thanks
  8. That looks like it will cool project Jeff! My grandfather had two dart swinger when I was growing up. A '66, '70 & a '75. I guess that where my love of Mopars came from!
  9. I wish it was but no, That is Ronnie Sox's Sox & Martin Omni 024. Very cool! I loved those blue headlights! Years ago, I ran my little '82 Omni 024 2.2L at the race track for fun at my friends urging because even with their Chevelles Camaros and Mustangs. None of them could beat me off the line in a race. That always ticked them off! LOL! They always beat me on top end of course. At the track that day there was a '80 Omni sporting the same color as my car which was cool! I have a photo somewhere. He was running a tube chassis car with a 440 under the hood! By the way, here is a photo of my 024 that I'm working on. Hosted on Fotki I love the progress on your Daytona! Love the look with the red stripe.
  10. It's great to see these kits getting built! Love the detail your putting into this one!! I owned an '85 Daytona in Gunmetal Blue I loved that car as much as my '82 Omni 024. I look forward to your progress Here's an '85 that I'm building as a slammer. Hosted on Fotki and here's an '88 Hosted on Fotki
  11. That is going to be so cool! I love it!
  12. I thought so, just wanted to see what your thoughts were. I would due the same with the exception of two promos I own, '77 Vega & '77 Monza given to me by an uncle who owned a dealership in Virginia. But I would purchase another pair for some projects I want to build. Here are some of my recent promo purchases. 91 & 92 Geo Storm - Dropping a blown 454 into this obscure little car! Should be fun! '89 Chevy C1500 P/U '95 Chevy S-10 P/U '78 Chevy Chevtte '81 Chevy El Camino
  13. If you were unable to purchase a model kit of a project your wanted to build without spending an arm and a leg? Would you use a promo to do it? I'm not talking about rare promos, just ones available for between $10 - $20. What are your thoughts?
  14. I'd like to say, with all due repect. Somethings are better left unsaid! It doesn't matter the reason. Just enjoy the hobby!
  15. Thanks for the vote of confidence Jeff. I guess I'll have to give that a try. I don't own the vehicle any longer but I do have photos and one of my co-workers owns a '98 S-10.
  16. I'm wanting to build a model of my '98 S-10. The only thing holding me back is the grille. Does anyone know if anybody cast a '98 grille in resin? Thanks,
  17. Thanks Guys, I will give that a try!
  18. I have a couple promos (Chevy Duallys) that I want to take apart to use for other projects. The interiors are glued in and I was wondering what is the best way to take them apart without damaging them. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks,
  19. Very nice Caddy Javier!!
  20. John, Please accept my condolenses. You and your family are in my prayers tonight! May God strengthen and comfort you during this painful time. Mark
  21. I always thought Chevettes were cool little cars. Maybe because my aunt drove a red '78. A hot blonde could make any car look even better! I did my practice driving in a 1980 Chevette for my driver's license. I picked one of these up a couple years ago and it's on my build list. I would love to see Pintos, Vegas,Pacers and Chevettes reissued. They would look great with modern wheels and drivetrains in them or packed with big rubber under their rear ends!
