  1. Beautiful job! I love those old 1950's cars, especially the '57-'59 Caddys.
  2. Your'e right, there's an Isetta model with it. I haven't built it yet. To answer slant6, I got the kit at the Goodwill a couple years ago for $3.00.
  3. I just finished this strange little vehicle. Gunze Sangyo's Messershmitt KR200.
  4. As the song goes, "Those were the days, my friend, I thought they'd never end". When I started driving in 1971 I was paying 23.9 for 100 octane premium. When gas started going up in 1973 I swore I'd quit driving if prices ever went over 60 cents a gallon, thinking they could never go that high. I'd be happy with $3.00 a gallon now.
  5. Right now I'm working on Revells Tony Stewart #20 '07 Monte Carlo for a friend of mine.
  6. Several years ago I was super gluing a flexible part & the glue flung up in my eye. I had to go to an Opthamologist who froze my eye & scraped it off. No fun! I've wore glasses ever since.
  7. About half of our $600.00 went into getting some much needed work done to our car. My wife got $125.00 to get what she wanted & my $125.00 all went to Tower Hobbies.
  8. Here in my part of the country we jumped another .15 cents today. Were now at $3.86 for regular. Anyone hit the $4.00 mark yet? I know this shows my age, but I started driving during the gas wars of the early 1970's & remember paying .23 cents a gallon for 100 octane premium. Do I miss those days!
  9. I also wonder what's happened with BMF. I have to order mine off the internet & most of them are full of cracks, making most of the sheet unusable. I've sent sheets back for replacement & get sheets back that are bad. Up to a couple or so years ago it seemed rare getting a bad sheet, now it's rare getting a good sheet. Bare Metal has been a one of the greatest products a modeler can have. I've tried Detail Master & some of the others, but Bare Metal beats them all. I just wish the quality was there once again.
  10. I've been using it for quite a few years now & have always had good luck with it.
  11. Came across this forum & it looked like a great place to join. Lots of modeling help & a lot of great modelers. I started building models back in the late 1960's, lost interest in the early 1970's as a teenager when 1:1 cars & girls took over. I rejoined the hobby in 1992 after finding a model at a rummage for a quarter & thought I'd give it a try. I had forgotten how much fun the hobby was. Anyways, glad to join such an informative & friendly forum.
