  1. I'll be in bed by 9:00. I work at least 6 & mostly 7 days a week & have to be up by 3:45 AM & to work by 5:AM. My Wife & I haven't been out on a Friday, Saturday or week night in years because of the hours I work.
  2. My Mom stopped by this morning & found these at a rummage sale. $8.00 for everything. The truck, car & paint are all new & unopened. Thank you, Mom!
  3. We're getting our first Meijers in this area. They're building it now & It's supposed to be open by next June. I"m hoping they carry models.
  4. This is in the shade on my front porch. Yesterday we hit 102F. We haven't had any measurable amounts of rain at all this summer. Grass is dead, leaves are dying on the trees & the farmers crops are dying.
  5. I live outside a tiny little town in Kosciuko county about 40 miles west of Ft. Wayne.
  6. I get models once in a while at Phils hobby shop in Ft. Wayne { 45 miles east of here } & they're actually opening a third store because business is so good. It seems most posts have shops closing up. I'm hoping this is a good sign & more start opening around the country.
  7. The gold spot is an emblem. I'm not sure about the depression behind it. I checked The model & it doesn't have one, so I'm guessing it's a shadow or the angle I took the picture.
  8. The light color is Diamond Green & Mystic Emerald is the dark green. Both are Testors lacquer. My Wife picks out the colors most of the time.
  9. No. I left it a curbside
  10. No resin. This is a plastic promo. I had to buy a resin interior for it.
  11. After setting in a closet for 14 years I thought it was time to put this Poncho together.
  12. I got it online at Scalehobbyist.com.
  13. This is an Arii Cadillac I painted Tamiya TS-25 pink. A very enjoyable & different model to build. Other than a very fragile windshield frame that I broke into three pieces & had to put back together the best I could, everything went together easily without any fitting problems. I highly recommend this kit if you like something you don't see at the LHS very often.
  14. I do have the rear script chromed, it just doesn't show it very good in these pictures.
  15. I've had this model laying around for over 8 years & finally decided to build it. The kit comes with PE hood hinges & the Bonneville emblem on the grill. The hinges are very fragile & have to be put together. They bent & broke the first time I closed the hood.
  16. Me & my Wife, Barbara.
  17. I bought the pink '58 convertible & it was delivered yesterday. I've never heard of Arii so I'm anxious to see how this will look built.
  18. Lots of spray & bottle paint, 2 BMF's, brushes, glue, tweezers & Arii's '58 pink Cadillac biaritz Got all this from Scalehobbyist.
  19. My favorite rock group are The Beatles & Paul McCartney grew up on Forthlin Rd. in Liverpool. My avatar, I don't remember where I found it, but I like Calvin & Hobbs & thought this was a good one.
  20. Only once & I wiped out close to 100 finished models. In late '06 I was put in the Hospital for a stent & lost 3 weeks of work. No pay, of course & we got behind in our house payment. The bank started foreclosure on us & I was so upset thinking we'd be in a homeless shelter I busted them all & threw them in the trash. My Wife knew everything would work out & told me I'd regret it. She was right, everything worked out, the house was saved & I still regret doing such a stupid thing. I tried to salvage what I could, but was able to repair only 3 of those models. I still find pieces of model parts in the yard.
  21. My Mom found these at a yard sale for $2.50 each. The boxes are messed up in places, but nothing got hurt. The standard nonpainted model is still in it's plastic wrap.
  22. I'll be watching with my fingers crossed. I don't want a pink truck.
  23. I got the Duplicolor primer-sealer charlie8575 suggested & tried it on the tailgate. Everything went on great. I put the duplicolor on then followed that with the white primer. I let it sit overnight, lightly sanded it & put the classic white on. There's no sign of pink, just white. The body & bed come next. I'll post more pictures after it's painted. Thanks for the help.
  24. I've got the Lindberg Dodge Dakota & want to paint it white like my '99 Dakota. Unfortunately the body's molded in red. I've got Model Masters one coat lacquer system white primer & classic white to put over the primer. Will I come out with a pink truck or will this work?
  25. 94 percent. Better than I thought I'd do.
