  1. I really enjoyed building this one. I liked those colors on the box so much I decided to paint it the same.
  2. Just did a trade with Darin Bastedo & I highly recommend Him. Thanks again, Darin. Mike
  3. My Brother worked with a woman who hit a deer & it came through the windshield still kicking. She ended up in the Hospital with life threatening injuries & almost died. I'm lucky mines so minor.
  4. I was heading to work at 5:00 this morning & had a deer run in front of me & I got him with the right front corner of my truck. The deer survived & ran off. My poor truck got the worst of it as you can see. And to think I decided to splurge & put new fenders on it just a couple months ago since my old ones were rusty & they weren't cheap, especially after having them painted. Unfortunately I don't have collision on my insurance so I get to foot the bill on this one. At least all the bolts & screws will come off easy since I had the fender off so recently.
  5. I had a subscription from the early 90's until it ended. They also came out with a '56 Ford Victoria . I've still got it put away & haven't built it yet.
  6. I haven't done the Corvette but I did do Arii's '58 Eldorado. A nice model with a little work. The weak spot was the window frame. I broke it in three pieces because it was so flimsy& had to piece it back together.. Still, a neat model that you don't normally find.
  7. My Mom had a '55 Olds 98 Starfire convertible back in the late 50's - early 60's. I was a little kid when She traded it in 1961. Now it would be worth a small fortune. What I'd give to have that car now.
  8. This was setting outside the Marsh grocery store in Warsaw, In.
  9. My wife & I stopped at some rummages. This was at the first one we stopped at.
  10. A friend sent me this from Germany. That price is in Euros.
  11. My '99 Dakota. I've replaced the rusty fenders with new ones since the pictures were taken
  12. These two cars are setting outside of a junkyard the next town over. I've lived in this area going on 30 years & they were there when I moved here.
  13. Got most of my Modelhaus parts today. As soon as the rest of the parts come in & I finish my current model this one's next.
  14. No, I didn't notice the wheels. You're right, they are t-bird. I'll be ordering the correct ones now. Thanks for letting me know.
  15. I've already done some checking & friction models have less value than a promo. It's got some value, but not a lot. Anyway, the rear bumpers broke, the windshield pillar is warped & no steering wheel so it can't be worth much as it sets.
  16. I know lots of old & rare isn't a real good sign, but they seem to be the minority & new models the majority. I agree with the paint. Once the paint goes it seems like the hobby shop soon closes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this one makes it.
  17. I got this old friction model as a trade for a few Hot Wheels cars. My Mom had one in the early 70's & plan matching it. I've already ordered all the chrome & interior parts from Modelhaus & can't wait to get started.
  18. A new hobby shop has opened in Warsaw, In. only 10 miles from me. It's called Awesome Hobbies & has new, old & rare models & lots of paint. I've had to either order off the internet or drive 40 miles to Ft. Wayne. Now there's one close by He's going to get plenty of business from me.
  19. Insanity is right. At least the ironworkers got a paycheck for being up there. Some fresh bird sh#t on one of those rails He's hanging on to by one hand & down he'll go.
  20. I'd be concerned a heavy gust of wind might hit while I'm up there.
  21. A gorgeous, sunny 83 degrees.
  22. Anyone care to take a seat next to these guys?
  23. Got this 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix friction model as a trade for some hot wheels cars. It needs a rear bumper & a steering wheel.
  24. I'm looking to buy a 1966 Chevelle diecast. Ertl's seem to be a quality, but pricey one. I don't know anything about Classic metal works other than they look good in pictures & they're not as expensive. Are they as high grade as Ertl or Danbury mint or a cheapy like Maisto?
