  1. Here's a pair of '58's & a '59 Caddy. Also a '60 Impala & a '59 Imperial.
  2. I got this from a trade with someone on this forum last Jan. & thought I'd go ahead & give it a paint job & some detailing. Not sure what color to paint it yet.
  3. We've been near 90 with high humidity all week. It's 70 with 100% humidity right now. Better this than the cold & snow that will be here a couple months from now.
  4. Going to the dentist. I have to be there in an hour to have some cavities filled & I'm none to happy about it.
  5. Mosquitos! All this rain has given us a surplus of these nasty little bloodsuckers.
  6. Always wear eye protection. About 10 years ago, before I had to wear glasses, I was gluing a part that slipped & flung a piece of super glue into my eye. I had to take an emergency trip to the eye Dr. where they stuck my head in a vice like contraption & scraped the now dried glue out of my eye.
  7. Beautiful job. I've had this kit laying around for several years & this gives me the incentive to dig it out & build it.
  8. There's some real drool inducing cars out there. That desert weather really preserved those old cars. If those cars had sat all those years here in Indiana they would be rusted down to the frame by now.
  9. I've got my votes in. I'd be broke if they made all the models I'd love to see produced.
  10. I was going out my front door yesterday & the wind knocked the storm door back into my elbow busting the glass & putting a long nasty gash that ended up needing 8 stitches. My arm isn't feeling to good this morning.
  11. Got these from a trade I made today.
  12. This is a Monogram kit. The box says 2009.
  13. I got this from a trade here a couple years ago. A really fun build. I recommend it if you like something different.
  14. Welcome fellow Hoosier.
  15. I like everything rock n roll from Elvis to Nirvana although The Beatles are #1 with me. I watched them on Ed Sullivan when they first came here & have been hooked ever since. I collect anything connected with them that I can afford. To NXR, I'm a big Electric Prunes fan. I was in a group in the mid-late 60's & we named ourselves The Hydraulic Banana as a take on the Electric Prunes.
  16. My parents bought a new '55 Special 4 door back in late 1954. I remember my little Brother & I would lay on the back window shelf on trips. Try that now without getting into a whole lot of trouble. My Dad totaled it back in '59. Those pictures sure bring back the memories.
  17. Kudo's to midnight prowler for a great trade.
  18. Waking up to another day of miserable weather. Another 3-4" of snow by tomorrow on top of the foot or so already on the ground, below zero wind chills, heavy winds & now we're supposed to have a propane shortage & I heat my house with propane. I feel like I'm at the North pole instead of Northern Indiana.
  19. The first is Barney, our 18 yr. old kitty. We got him as a very sick 2 mo. old & nursed him back to health. He's the boss over the two dogs & keeps them in line. He's my baby & I dread the thought of ever losing him. He's in very good health for 18. Next is Annabelle, our 15 yr. old basset/ beagle mix. We found her off the side of a road eating roadkill . The vet thought she was around 6 mo. old. He said she was a very sick puppy, ribs showing & full of worms. Last, but certainly not least is Carly, our newest addition. A VERY active 1 yr. old that lives for playing fetch & being loved. She was also a stray that someone dumped by our house. We live in the country & people seem to think the country is a dumping ground for unwanted pets. We've had them all fixed, so no surprises.
  20. We've got 6" of snow on the ground as of now. Another 7 - 11' is supposed to drop by Monday morning. On top of that it's supposed to get to -16 tomorrow night & a balmy high of -7 on Monday.
  21. No stitches for me "yet", although, mighty close. I was wearing shorts one night & dropped both the handle & blade. It went straight down & landed straight up in my right thigh, a little over an inch away from what would have been a whole lot more than pain .
  22. I just finished a great trade with DPNM. Thanks Jim, I'd be glad to trade with you anytime.
  23. The weather. We have around 6" of snow on the ground & with temps. nearing 40F today, It's all melting so everything is one big slushy mess to walk or drive in.
  24. A beautiful job. I owned one of these about 15 years ago. Mine was a 1990.
