  1. Got these from a trade I made today.
  2. This is a Monogram kit. The box says 2009.
  3. I got this from a trade here a couple years ago. A really fun build. I recommend it if you like something different.
  4. Welcome fellow Hoosier.
  5. I like everything rock n roll from Elvis to Nirvana although The Beatles are #1 with me. I watched them on Ed Sullivan when they first came here & have been hooked ever since. I collect anything connected with them that I can afford. To NXR, I'm a big Electric Prunes fan. I was in a group in the mid-late 60's & we named ourselves The Hydraulic Banana as a take on the Electric Prunes.
  6. My parents bought a new '55 Special 4 door back in late 1954. I remember my little Brother & I would lay on the back window shelf on trips. Try that now without getting into a whole lot of trouble. My Dad totaled it back in '59. Those pictures sure bring back the memories.
  7. Kudo's to midnight prowler for a great trade.
  8. Waking up to another day of miserable weather. Another 3-4" of snow by tomorrow on top of the foot or so already on the ground, below zero wind chills, heavy winds & now we're supposed to have a propane shortage & I heat my house with propane. I feel like I'm at the North pole instead of Northern Indiana.
  9. The first is Barney, our 18 yr. old kitty. We got him as a very sick 2 mo. old & nursed him back to health. He's the boss over the two dogs & keeps them in line. He's my baby & I dread the thought of ever losing him. He's in very good health for 18. Next is Annabelle, our 15 yr. old basset/ beagle mix. We found her off the side of a road eating roadkill . The vet thought she was around 6 mo. old. He said she was a very sick puppy, ribs showing & full of worms. Last, but certainly not least is Carly, our newest addition. A VERY active 1 yr. old that lives for playing fetch & being loved. She was also a stray that someone dumped by our house. We live in the country & people seem to think the country is a dumping ground for unwanted pets. We've had them all fixed, so no surprises.
  10. We've got 6" of snow on the ground as of now. Another 7 - 11' is supposed to drop by Monday morning. On top of that it's supposed to get to -16 tomorrow night & a balmy high of -7 on Monday.
  11. No stitches for me "yet", although, mighty close. I was wearing shorts one night & dropped both the handle & blade. It went straight down & landed straight up in my right thigh, a little over an inch away from what would have been a whole lot more than pain .
  12. I just finished a great trade with DPNM. Thanks Jim, I'd be glad to trade with you anytime.
  13. The weather. We have around 6" of snow on the ground & with temps. nearing 40F today, It's all melting so everything is one big slushy mess to walk or drive in.
  14. A beautiful job. I owned one of these about 15 years ago. Mine was a 1990.
  15. In 2007 our house went into foreclosure because of major cuts to my hours at work. I was so upset I took almost everyone of my 100+ models I had built, busted them up & threw them in the trash. My Wife wasn't to happy with me since She was sure everything would work out for us & I'd regret it. She was right. My hours went back up & we didn't lose the house & I sure do regret tossing all those models.
  16. Waking up this morning with what feels like the flu. Miserable all day. Today, being my birthday, my wife had plans for a small family get together. That's shot.
  17. I'm head of maintenance & set up at a major Hotel.
  18. Had a big trade with crazyjim & would trade with Him anytime.
  19. 1955 Olds 98 Starfire conv. My Mom had one in the late 50's. 1952-'54 Pontiac Chieftain 1955 Buick Special
  20. I just got Mat Irvine's Scale car modeling the other day. Lots of good articles & lot's of pictures..
  21. After looking at the pictures I have to agree the foil job leaves something to be desired. Pictures do seem to magnify any & all mistakes. Thanks for all the kudos & I appreciate the suggestions.
  22. I really enjoyed building this one. I liked those colors on the box so much I decided to paint it the same.
  23. Just did a trade with Darin Bastedo & I highly recommend Him. Thanks again, Darin. Mike
  24. My Brother worked with a woman who hit a deer & it came through the windshield still kicking. She ended up in the Hospital with life threatening injuries & almost died. I'm lucky mines so minor.
