  1. I've seen an Orange Crate body used with the Revell street rod chassis (3-window, 5-window, etc) to make a chopped tudor sedan.
  2. Perhaps someone from the magazine staff could chime in and explain? Larry? Dave?
  3. You can get the Moebius chassis from ebay sellers who "part out" kits .
  4. Are they bringing back the "429 Corvette"?
  5. Probably "built" using a sawzall or a death wheel.
  6. Chevy Astro. When they first came out I thought they looked dull and ugly. As a Ford guy, I thought the Aerostar was better. Later I owned a GMC Safari, then an Astro. Good family cars, great on road trips. When I sold the Astro, with over 200,000 miles, it would still go 80 MPH all day and get around 22 MPG.
  7. My 71 LTD had the 400 as well. And yes, it was quick as you mentioned. 400 was pretty torquey. Plus, it got 15-20 MPG.
  8. Missing link is doing a 72 Montego GT? Did you get that from ML or someone else?
  9. I had a 71 LTD, similar to this one, for a couple of years back in the mid 70s
  10. I have a couple of the cast metal frames/chassis. IIRC, R&D Unique made them
  11. A red last-gen Thunderbird with a rear-mounted spare and fins like a 57. Weird.
  12. Trip to West LA: Subaru Crosstrek with Vermont license plates BMW i8 Buick TourX A Lamborghini of some sort, going the other way on Santa Monica Blvd. Electric hummer Several tesla trucks.
  13. Black ID Buzz at the local VW dealership.
  14. A really nice 914 on display at the Galpin Porsche palace.
  15. I don't understand why it is necessary for someone at a tire shop, dealership, car wash or whatever to adjust everything that can be adjusted so they can drive the car 50 yards or so. In my experience, they are always much shorter (I'm 6-foot-one) than I am.
  16. At one point a few years ago, Greg Wann was casting Apache wheels.
  17. What are your plans for "restoring" it?
  18. I have heard a certain resin caster of drag parts might be working on some.
  19. That's what I've heard. Unfortunately they are not correct, but a good starting point.
  20. Does anyone recall if there was a kit with an early Hemi that had IMPERIAL on the rocker covers?
  21. It was $20.00 for admission to the show, which included the display of as many vehicles as an entrant wanted, not "to display a car". Andy Kellock was the one who passed away. A good guy, greatly missed.
