  1. Manager at my LHS told me that most of his distributors have asked him to accept smaller margins on the products he sells. He cannot make enough money to stay in business by doing this. IMO no one at any level will be willing to absorb the additional cost due to the tariffs. The end consumer will foot the bill.
  2. That would be Mark Gustavson.
  3. He posted pictures of his business card on Facebook.
  4. An Upllander is not quite a Dustbuster. A lumina APV, now you're talking. I bet NOBODY has seen one of these on the road for a minute or two.
  5. Maybe you can kitbash suspension with the 64 Comet Pro Touring version.
  6. Yup. They rented it from me for the first movie, then I sold it to them for the second. One of my neighbors at the time had a picture car company and asked if they could use it. I have pictures of the car with the cast from the movie. I got it in 1986. It looked like a well-weathered version of this:
  7. I bet the grille emblem lights up too.
  8. Got my latest order from Mr Burns (Too Many Projects). 72 Mercury Montego Wagon and a 70-71 Montego 4-door. Wagon is going to replicate mine before Paramount Studios did this:
  9. Last year I had to replace, among other things, a radiator hose fitting on the side of the engine block in a 2015 VW Jetta TDI wagon that belongs to a friend of mine. Besides being very difficult to access the part, a replacement from a national auto parts chain would not go into the hole in the block. After spending several hours trying to get it to go in, my friend and I decided that the fitting was too big by a tiny amount to fit into the hole. We purchased another fitting from a different chain store and it went right in. First-generation Ford Focus replacement rear brake drums come with the roller bearings already installed. The rear spindles are tapered. If the bearings are not installed in the drums properly, they will go part way on the spindle, then jam into place. Removing the drum in this case will destroy the bearing. One time, I took a rear spindle I got from a wrecking yard to take to the store to check. I think I found a properly-installed bearing on the third drum I tested. When purchasing a starter or alternator, I will not leave the store without having it tested. ( I had to R&R the alternator in my old 94 Astro twice. Not fun)
  10. This started as a Scion/Toyota IQ. Aston Martin upgraded a few cosmetically and called the car the Cygnet, using the Toyota drive train. This particular car was modified to use the Aston Martin V8 engine and drive train.
  11. Didn't Ford and GM develop that ten-speed transmission jointly?
  12. Just press the "clone" button...
  13. I was so glad when I was able to get a fuel pressure regulator separately. 1994 Astro.
  14. There is no patch. There is no cure.
  15. We still have vendor tables available. Details on the flyer.
  16. Transmission fluid is a high-detergent oil. Some folks used to pour some in the engine and run it for a while just before an oil change to clean out the lubrication system.
  17. , , , , , , , , , . . . . . . . .
  18. If you get it, you get it... Just the Tirebiter family having breakfast.
  19. Defoliating a victory garden....
  20. I saw this in a driveway in Littlerock. Up the street there was an 85-86 Celica in a backyard, down the streets a few blocks there are several 70s Chevy pickups in another back yard.
  21. Been there, done that. My model car club meetings are on the San Fernando Valley, so I go into BHH on the day of the meeting. Sometimes I purchase stuff off their website or the auction site and arrange to pick up in the store. Glen and his people are great!
