In the early 80s I had a 73 Pinto wagon with a 2.0. After it broke a connecting rod, I put in a rebuilt 2.3 from a 74. Not a super easy swap. Many changes were made to the front of Pintos in 74 to accept the physically larger 2.3 and to reconcile with the changes made to the structure for the Mustang II. I had to bolt in new engine mounts and put in an electric fan on the front of the radiator, among other changes. The car drove well with the larger engine. The extra torque of the 2.3 made a lot of difference. The car was white, with a brown interior and had US slot mags with fat tires. We also had a 72 Montego wagon at the time in the same color combination.

Pretty sure he meant the Edsel wagon taillights that were a custom option in the original kit.

LAPD used Mercury Montegos in 1970.

Even worse are the lights that are low on the sides in a chunk of black plastic and look like an afterthought. This looks like one car got dropped on top of another.

Sequential turn signals are cool on 60s Thunderbirds and Cougars.

Years ago I had a 79 Indy Pace Car Replica with a tired 2.3 Turbo engine and 4-speed. I replaced it with the drivetrain from a 1992 Mustang LX 5.0.

The 4-speed car had standard seats, while the 5-speed car had the Recaro-ish "sport" seats.

That would be the Charger III.

In 1984 I test drove an 83 Mustang GT that had a 4-speed transmission. Next day I purchased an 83 GT from a different dealership with a T-5.

You should probably pull the front spindles, rotors, etc so you can have 5-lug front wheels on the 86 as well.

Only if you jump on it quickly. A few years ago I ordered a resin kit from an eBay seller. No problem with the transaction. Not long after I "won" another resin kit from the same caster/seller. Time passed. no item. I sent the seller an email. Received a list of reasons why he did not honor the auction result. He even sent me pictures of a really serious back surgery scar. By the time I realized I had been victimized it was after eBay's deadline. I am still waiting for the product.

I sent a note to the seller. He said he purchased molds and back stock from the former proprietor of MCRC.
