  1. Hi Larry The rims are the kit supplied ones. Cheers Andyj
  2. This is the Aoshima non-D1 kit oob except for front seats from a Fujimi Impreza as imo the kit ones don't sit far enough back in the cabin. The colour is Nissan Gun Grey metallic from Zero paints (as was the clearcoat) and both are thoroughly recommended. Hood, rear wing, front lip & cannards were cf'd with Studio 27 decal and the rim centres painted Tamiya gunmetal. Thanks for looking Andy
  3. Just a quick shot of the engine - it's basically stock except for the the aircleaner which came from the Testors Smoothster kit. Thanks for looking Andy
  4. Haven't built a lowrider for awhile so pulled this one out of my to do pile. The bodies been sprayed Citroen Wicked Red metallic, Bare Metal Foil trim added and the kit rims swapped for Pegasus ones. I'll post more progess as I make it. Thanks for looking Andy
  5. Thanks - it's this kit http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS03871 (I built it kerbside as I plan to use the engine in another project) - the Initial D kit is a Trueno http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS03921 Cheers Andy
  6. Just a quick pic with the headlights sorted Cheers Andy
  7. I used Mr Hobby super clear Thanks Andy BTW just noticed that I forgot to paint the black edges round the headlights - I'll post up a revised pic later
  8. Just a quick build oob except for Fujimi Hayashi rims with Aoshima Kai series tyres. Drivers seat & steering wheel were out of the spares box and the hood was cf'd with Studio 27 decal. Colour is Tamiya Mica Blue. Thanks for looking Andy

Hi Doug I'd run out of silver so I used Vauxhall Platinum metallic as the base coat - very similar to Tamiya Champagne Gold. Cheers Andy BTW/ Thanks for the comments everybody

    06 Mustang

Managed to finish this one off today. It's the Revell kit pretty much oob except for grille & rear window louvres both from AF/X resin. I deepened the front bumper slighty and swapped the stock rims for Aoshima Luxy type 4's with trim rings.Tyres are SAS Advan's - I had to cut out the inner wheelwells to lower the ride height. Colour is Tamiya Mica Blue. No engine shots as it's just kerbside. Couldn't resist this last pic Thanks for looking Andy
  11. The recent AMT kit - I had fitment problems with the hood (it stuck up at the front) so after some gentle bending I decided to glue it closed. The suspension parts were was replaced by metal rods to lower the ride height and the rims are Aoshima Luxy type 3 with trim rings plus Revell "tuner" series tyres & brake discs from an Aoshima Silvia. Thanks for looking Andy

    2006 Mustang

I must have offended the modelling gods (that's my excuse anyway !) -when I removed the Tamiya masking tape from the roof after spraying the window surrounds it lifted off one of the stripes  - I guess I'd polished the clear very thin in that area. Luckily I still had a spare decal but had to clear the roof again - not disasterous but annoying all the same. On a positive note here's where I am currently after adding the front grille & lights etc - I've also continued the stripes over the rear spoiler as IMO it looks odd without them. Thanks for looking Andy

    2006 Mustang

You 're quite correct Scott - it's a Revell kit. Cheers Andy

    Just a quick update after polishing out the clear with Micromesh l& Tamiya compound ;
  16. Hi Hans I was limited in choice as I only had the black stripes left so it had to be a light colour. Cheers Andy
  17. Great minds think alike Steve Cheers Andy
  18. I hadn't planned on getting one of these but happened to see one on E-bay so thought I might as well have a go at it. There's been posts on various forums pointing out the fitment issues so inview of this I decided to glue the hood shut & build it kerbside. The rims are Aoshma Luxy type 3 with Racing Hart trim rings & Revell tuner series tyres. The body has been sprayed with VW Brilliant Orange and the Yenko decals were left overs from the Revell 69 kit - It still needs clearcoating. Sorry for the poor quality of the 2nd pic taken late @ night - thanks for looking Andy

Just a quick update of the body with clearcoat added which gives a nice depth to the colour. I'll leave it a few days before polishing it out. Thanks for looking Andy

    2006 Mustang

Thanks Randy The wheels are made up from Aoshima Luxy type 4 19" rims together with trim rims from their Junction Scara wheels. The tyres are from the Revell Tuner series. Regards Andy
  23. After building the Cervini Mustang this one's going to be a lot less complicated & pretty much OOB except for the rear window louvres & Shelby grille which are from A/FX resins. I've always felt that the stock front isn't deep enough so the bottom was cut off and some plastic card added with the lower grille opening enlarged slighty. So far the bodies been sprayed with Tamiya Mica Blue & the stripes added - I had a spare decal sheet so I've continued the stripes over the front bumper. Thanks for looking Andy
  24. Thanks Brian Here's the link to Steve's website http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/product_inf...roducts_id=1329 Regards Andy
  25. Just a quick update with the clear polished out: Thanks for looking Andy
