This one's based on the Revell kit - I've tried to make it a little more detailed by adding the engine & interior from the Galaxie 48 Sedan Delivery kit. Rims are from Pegasus and the paint is Citroen Wicked Red Metallic with Zero paints pre-thinned clear lacquer. Thanks for looking Andy

Just a quick update - I've built up the chassis and installed the rims & engine -as usual I haven't done any chassis detailing as it won't be seen. As the kit doesn't include any interior door panels I've adapted the Galaxie kit interior panels to fit and I'll use the Galaxie Bench seat as the Revell kit comes with some nasty 70's high back seats. A couple of shots of a dry run with everything put together - the sunvisor is just made from plastic card and needs a bit more work. Thanks for looking Andy

A quick build purely on account of I love the look of these old barges & wanted one in my collection. The only none stock items are the rims & tyres which are from Pegasus hobbies with Model Car Garage p/e spinner centres. Paint is Zero Nissan Le Mans Sunset plus pre-thinned clear laquer. Anyway here's the pics: Thanks for looking Andy

Thanks Hans No I don't work at a Citreon dealer (in fact I work in Insurance  but it pays the bills) - it's just that the Citroen Posidion blue & Wicked red caught my eye as I wandered round the paint rack at the local auto spares store as they were nice "bright" colours. (The store staff must think I'm a graffitti artist due to all the cans of paint I buy ). Cheers Andy

Hi Bob Thanks for the kind words - I'm afraid I can't remember exactly what wire I used (it was just sititng lose in the spares box) but I think it was probably a coolant hose that I stripped the copper wires out of which luckilty happened to fit the plus & plug wire. I'm sorry I can't give you a definite answer. Regards Andy

Just a couple of pics of the completed engine from the Galaxie kit - I've not added a great deal except ignition leads & fuel line. I had to reduce the height of the airfilter as it fouled the hood. I've done the engine without any chrome as the Alclad rubbed off wth handling. Thanks for looking Andy

Just a quick update on the paint - spent some time polishing the clear with various grades of Micro-Mesh followed by Tamiya fine then finish polishing compound. Excuse the polishing compound in the panel lines. I guded the rear door closed as I don't trust the kit hinges !. Hope to make some progress on the engine soon. Thanks for looking Andy

Aoshima kit in their Super VIP series - if you'd like some more info on the VIP style in the 1:1 world -http://www.hotimportnights.com/news/article.asp?id=6716244R9SBLU2P32KG6QNY. The kit's basically OOB & sprayed Zero Paints Nissan Gunmetal Metallic plus Zero's per-thinned lacquer. To get the ride height down I had to do some major razor saw surgery on the inner wheel wells as the kit chassis obviously wasn't designed with 20" rims in mind. The kit suspension was binned and replaced by metal rod axles & I gave the rear wheels a bit of camber by bending the rod upwards slightly at each end. Thanks for looking Andy

Just a couple of pics of the completed interior ( I know I should have filled in the back of the seats but laziness got the better of me): Thanks for looking Andy

Took adavantage of the good weather over here to spray the basecoat which is Citroen Wicked Red Metallic - I'll let it cure for a couple of days before clearcoating. Just to give you an idea of the colour :- Thanks for looking Andy

Just going to be a quick OOB build - the body's been sprayed Zero paints Nissan Gunmetal metallic basecoat plus Steve's pre-thinned clear. After about an hour of masking up  the window trim was sprayed automotive semi-gloss black and the head & taillights sprayed with Alclad chrome - the other chrome trim is Bare Metal Foil. Thanks for looking Andy

Thanks for the kind words guys Cheers Andy

Thanks The basecoat's Dodge 2006 Plum Crazy Pearl from Zero Paints over here in the UK topped with Mr Hobby Super Clear. Cheers Andy

Got round to finishing this one - the bumper chrome came of after minimal handling so decided to spray them body colour. Thanks for looking Andy

Thanks Steve - I'll be getting the Alclad ii out at some stage  Cheers Andy

I've decided to add the straight 6 engine from the Galaxie 46-48 Chevy kit. I've added the cross members from the Galaxie kit to the Revell frame to ensure good location -I've also added the inner fenders (suitably cut down) from the Galaxie kit as they're not included in the Revell one. I've removed the moulded in door handles and drilled a hole ready to accept the Galaxie ones. Thanks for looking. Andy

Been staring at my pile of kits try to decide what to do next and as I've always liked the older style lows thought I'd make a start on this one. It's the old Revell kit - fairly rudimentary in places - no interior door panels or inner fenders. The rims are from Pegasus with Hoppin Hydros centre caps & spinners. I undecided at the moment whether to build it kerbside or not.I'll post more progress as I make it. Thanks for looking Andy

I started this one way back in June 05 but some reason lost interest and put it back in the box. It's the Tamiya kit basically OOB except for Asohima Volk Racing TE37 rims plus Aoshima discs & a Fujimi metal exhaust. The colour is a mix of Honda Imola Orange/candy orange. Thanks for looking Andy

Just lately my attention span on each build seems to be limited - as with most of my builds I didn't do any chasssis detailing so I didn't bother taking any pics. On the plus side it means I get each project completed quicker . Cheers Andy

For the rear I drilled holes into the axle to accept some plastic rod, for the front I just swapped the metal axle stub. The Pegasus wheel stubs had to be cut down to pull the rims inside the arches. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for the kind comments Andy

I tried to keep this one old school so it's more mild than wild !. It's just oob with the addition of Pegasus rims, spark plug wires & coil. Colour is Peugeot Wicked Red metallic. I didn't bother with detailing the trunk due to laziness (my excuse is it's got lowering blocks as opposed to hydraulics  ). Thanks for looking Andy
