  1. Nice li'l bug there Tony. All the lights look real good . I votes for the boot......and that 57 you gots stashed around the corner. Nice dio too btw
  2. Got ol' Gunthy all cleaned up & we headed fer the painty booth... .....just tried painting inside hims inner mouth area, but guess I done got some in hims sinuses and he started a thrashin' around and Oh, what a mess! He finally calmed down, and we got 'im greened up Got 'im to un-swallow hims tongue fer some pics....... ....so on with his top hat and we just might go see Mr SKWIRLS! Guess it might help if'n I give 'im some eyeballs first....
  3. Cool and Classy lookin'! Love that cab and the color! Would be a cool 1:1 ride
  4. Wowsers! Yinz guys'r way cool heppin' me out with ol' Gunthy Hmmmmm.....the aces & the feather in hims hat sound just down hims alley aand the dead flower (poifect!) gotta go in hims lapel!! Thanks! Yinz guys'r the bestest!! OK, now that we gots that straigithens out....I did figger out what to do fer Gunthy's hat... .....I's gonna cover it wit' some of this stuff (which I aints at libertys to identifries ) Firstly, I gotta mix up a li'l of this here mildly toxic brew o' gooey stuff to.... ...be a smearin' all over G's fedora (kinda seals up any dem politicios what dint get shredded completely) Once hims beanie were covered with th' gooey glop, I flung the aforesmentioned 'whatever' on it and some of it stuck, givin' us this here kinda flocky look Sayed a few words, squirted a few lacquers, sliced up one of me ties ( wha's I doin' wit a TIE???) and andyhows, the clown is down! with hims newly beatem upped topper! Ah, the juices wereres flowin today-- or maybes ol' Gunthy's saliva, but we done gots 'im a tongue... tongue & ears!!! Long as he don't give me no lips, we'll be cool. So thar he be! All dressed up & headin' fer the painty booth!!! T'anks again for all the cool ideas!
  5. Was raiding the fridge, and found some leftover Celluclay, figgered I'd slap some on Gunthy's ears... ...had to stick his nose in it first Slapped it on I did, and while it weres settin up, I set 'im down and..... .....started scrunchin' down on 'is topper. Set it down, on the clown, and neither of us frowned.......hmmm Happy with that confragmation, I reinforced the hat with a few layers of them shredded politickyos and some classifieds. The ol' clown is beginnin' to look ok Dat hat still needs something aint sure 'zactly what, mebbe some textures? Eh, we'll figger it outs, can always track down Mr SKEWIRLS and ask him too
  6. Money shot! Ok B! I can live with this-- great how you engimineered it so's we can still see just about all them cool inside stuffs. That photo etched grille is awesome Hope you're making room for some trophies.....
  7. Wow Gramps...........I don't know what to say..........'bout all I can do is look Sure has the early 'hot rod' look about it. Nice li'l dipstick, and I just loves them wheels (aint no baby moons on 'em )
  8. Bernard!!! Yer crazy if'n you gonna cover this up! I'd jump in it, fire it up, and.....well, hope it goes straight (forgot it aint got no steery wheel in it ) Seriously B, even tho' it'd probly be a bit of work? I'd consider takin' a page outa Treehugger's 'book' and make you another rollin' curbsidey frame to set the body on, then display 'em both. Really oughta be a law against hidin' really cool stuffs like this Lookin' way too cool B-- keep it goin'
  9. CB

    39 chevy coupe

Absolutely STUNNING!!! Great lines on an already great looking car
  10. I second that! Does it run as well as it looks?
  11. Thanks B! Yep, that looks a little better ! Did see a lady's 50 Chevy pickem up at a cruise couple years ago that she had the 'rat' look done to it, and her steelies came out just about the same pinkish color. Thanks for your usual fine postem ups. Best of luck with this, and that shiny black paint
  12. Thanks fellers. Got to spend a li'l quality time with Gunthar t'other day..... ...gave 'im a bit of a facial with some 'White Lightning'. Gotta keep 'im lightweight as much as I can so....... ...after the 'White Lightning' dried I done sanded most of it off, givin' ol' Gunth a li'l mo' better complexion Then I slicked 'im up with a couple ears... .... and started on a new hat fer th' clown. Aint finalriazed just yets-- gotta get 'im & Mr SKWIRLS together for a look see-- his ol' hat gonna be a lot scruffier lookin', probly scrunched a bit from blowin' off during them trips down the strip, but methinks we's on the right trak sizewizes
  13. Very nice so far B! Love how you roll 'em outa yer garage for us to see That's gonna be a looker for sure if'n you can pull off the glossy black.... ...as fer me? I'd paint them steelies red, put some chrome luggers on & call it done-- but that's me
  14. Well Tony, I aint sure if'n there be any mo' shredded politicianos in this here stuff.... ... just might be, but good to be usin' the good ol' 'Celluclay' agin! Had to put a bit of hurt on Gunth what with stickin' dat tootpick in his face, but it just had to be doned-- part of the nose job he gonna get Here be the 'Celluclay' with water added.... ... and here be ol' Gunthar gettin' skinned with it As usual, since me & Gunth'res both kinda sicklys, we gotta go back into the heaty booth fer a spell again. After a goodly spell in the heaty booth, I gived Gunth a good sanding coz he weres just a li'l too uglys fer me with all them lumps & bumps Slicked 'im up with a new hat and he be smilin'-- but methinks dat ol' tophat gonna need a chop & section job, it's just too big-- makes the clown look almost kinda diginifried Next up'll be puttin' his ears in place-- mebbe then we can talk
  15. Whoa! Just watched a couple vids on the 3D 'printing' of parts. Simple, but amazing. Basically a lot of slices (cross-sections) of an object glued together. Possiblities appear to be endless
  16. Got ol' Gunth all cutted up & putted back togehters agains and he purty nearly 87% bandages He just look dat ways coz of the antithesia just startin' to wears off. Yeah, he kinda miserables-- I knows the feelings Reaally hated to do it, but hadta put 'im back in the heaty booth Purty soonly he'll be lookin' like new! Cain't wait to see how him & Mr SLWKIRLS gonna gets along. If'n anybody wanta see mo' of 'The birth of Gunthar das Clownen', it be here: http://public.fotki.com/V866/crazy-cars-by-cb/page17.html
  17. Done got a ton of layers of dat dere papere machete stuffs all twilrled around Gunthar's noggin and were's tryin' to soak up some of the extr gooeys with a paper towel but it stuck! So now the clown is mummifried as well! Stuck ol' mummy clown back in da heaty boot.... .....let 'im chill out there fer a goodly whiles then gived 'im some lip and layed out them lines for to be slicing him skull apart for to be doin' the auto-topsy..... .....and out the corner of me eye I seen this here vision(?) of one purty happy clown He aint got no clue what he be in fer The big moment Ol' Gunth kinda just went limmp I was really sprised that there weren'ts no blood what with all that cuttin'.... but then I remembmered dat this is all a fragments of my imagininations. Anyhows, thar be the li'l ol' blockshead-- all safes & soundly, methinks This here were weird-- some really strange stuff have beeen on me bench, but...... ....as always, I just keeps sayin' me prayers and tryin' to do the right things, whach in this here case seemed I oughta get ol' paper Gunthar cleaned up an' presentable likes & introducks him to whoever dat blockhead be They both seemed to be enjoyin' the moments. Look like I's safe from teef-bites fer awhiles-- whichk 'minds me! Ol' Mr SKWILRLS aint met ol' paper Gunthar yets-- oh boy, I aint lookin' fowrards to dat
  18. Great model, great modelworkin', great pics, great post-- and all on one page! Great job Sam! Now we's just gotta see it with yer '57
  19. Hey thanks guys! Yep, good ol' paper mache (however ya spells it ) Beened wantin' to do some of dat for a loooonng time-- good thing ol' Mr SKWIRLS comed along, eh? (What am I saying? ) Andyhows, since it seems we mighta fried-- I mean 'baked' ol' Gunthar's brain, I's plannin' on doin' an auto-topsy on 'im just to sees fer sure. I had ta tells 'im it's all part of the buildem up process today while tryin' to lay out the cut lines on him skull
  20. Thanks Tim. I'll have to wait to check it out on the library computer. Looking forward to seeing it. Very exciting new technology-- from the sketch pad to a 3D object Way cool
  21. Comin' along real nice B Love that seat! Don't look real comfy tho Did they use seat belts back then in these things? I gotta say-- way back when I was 15 .......uh, that woulda been 1967, my parents bought me my first car-- a '57 Chevy (4 door ) for $75. It had the straight 6 with 3 on the tree, and when I finally got my license and got driving it--Wowie! That's one great li'l engine! Was doin' 85 one night, dropped it 'up' into 2cd gear, put 5 more mph on the dial and hit 3rd. If'n a stock 235 would haul that big ol' 4 door around like that, I can just start to imagine what this here Fischer 6 would do in this here '29 which looks to weigh almost nuthin' ..... I's just goin' by your buildem up, coz I know how particular you are to get 'em all period correct..........period
  22. Very pretty cool CF! Very nice concept, build, and paint-- especially the paint! Love the grid lines-- how'd ya do that?
  23. Enoughs contrimplatin'-- time fer to be givin' Herr Gunthar some skin! First step is tearing up pics of politicions (methinks ya'll can see I really likes dat part) Now dat I we gots us a bowl of shredded politicios, some Elmers, water, and an old hamburger tray, we's just 'bout ready. Is kinda nice how Herr Gunthar just hangs out on his stick Nextly, we adds some water to ol Elmer and stirs 'em up a bit...... .....add them shredded perma donners inta th' mix & get 'em good & gooey like.... ...and finallys be wrappin' ol' Gunthar's baked potater brain with 'em Keeped on wrappin' til ol' Gunth started try'n to get away, so ever so gentlys started massagin' all them straps & gooeys & he finally be calmed down. Poor ol' Gunth don't know which way's which now, but nots ta woorry Gunth! I's gots ya covered! Put 'im in the heaty booth... ...and after a few spells all dat goo got nicely set up. Went back at the computer an' did us some allucinating fer to see what be nextly Looky likes the blackened areas gonna be cut out and the greenies added on, but dats further on down the lines, coz we's gotta be gooin' mo' layers firstly-- make ol' Gunthar one thick skinnied clown
  24. OOOOPS!
  25. "...a digital 3D model in CAD" "The 3D model is then sliced in many layers and sent to a printer a layer at a time." Pretty sure I've seen something like this done a couple years (?) ago on a much simpler basis. Would be really interesting if you could post up some pictures (or diagrams) of the 'digital 3D model' and the layers of the 3D model, and/or a video of the process.
