  2. You sure do make us wait Viz! Nice to see some progresso tho. Yep, methinks you scored a direct hit on them wheels . They gonna look awesome when they're actually on the car-- with the perty stance ....... And I really can't wait to see these bad boys on top of them 4barrils!!!
  3. See there Gramps? Ya done great! All's ya neded was a li'l ol' encouragements! Yer 'Bird is lookin super duper incredibly awesome! That urethaney clear really makes them muriels look good! I likes the sky muriel ya put on the roof--way cool! I almost gots to agree with Mr Led 'bout it being the best paint job I ever seen, but I'm rememberin' a '59 Chevy decklid I seen years ago at a cruise, done in an ivory kinda pearl-- looked like ya could stick yer finger in it and swirl some out. Seriously tho, ya old fart, way to show us young'uns how it's done. Now get 'er done already!
  4. Hey Chuck, I really likes how it's comin' along too! May seem that I's kinda hard on ol' Gramps at times, but we done learned long ago that we gotta shake the old fart every once inna whiles-- get all dat dust off'n him! Dat freehanded 1/25 airbrushin' on Gramps' hand made hood fer his 'Bird is totally outa this world! (and believe me...I knows 'outa this world')
  5. Boy, I don' knows bouts dat Led, Gramps probly want a pizza pizza as price of admission to hims tootorial on murial ...an' once he start munchin' won't be much tooterin' goin' on
  6. another cool period piece----aahhh, I's just gonna get comfy and watch fer a spell. With that tonneau cover not snugged down yet B, this here looks like a very, very severe choppin' job! Lookin' forward to seeing it take shape, and hopin' you decide on the Chevy 6
  7. Don't you be worryin' about runnin' outa urethanes Gramps-- me 'n George'll bring ya some-- and some pizzas & good ol' A&W boot beer too!

  10. YEEEAAAHH! Catch the old fart inna good mood!
  11. Always enjoy seein' yer builds. You do such nice works. Neat idea using the wooden wedges ! Love the colors combo too, btw
  12. Yep Gramps, I totelly approve! Too bad you couldn't do a YouBtuBey video of you freehandin' dat under yer big honkin' magnifrier --now dat would be cool to see! Lookin' forwards to seein' your 'bird come together--moonbabys & all! Ways ta go Gramps!-- and jest think-- if'n ya screw up the trunk muriel, you can always just hammer out a new lid fer it! (seein' as hows ya done 'hammered' & 'nailed' the hood )
  13. Can't be waitin' to see mo' pics Viz You says it has a perty stance with the front axe on-- well, you mustas gots the back axel on too! Normally, I'd say go fer the chop, but you seem to got the 'look' just right so far-- and with that stock top-- it looks 'classic' or maybe better put: "Class-sic"
  14. Wowzers Gramps!! Ya done it! and ya done done it-- I mean 'them' really good! Ok?--which one ya gonna use? Looks to me like the bottom one would fit yer 'bird better.
  15. Dat would be a real challenge Gramps-- you's 30 years olders and dat hood is 25 times smaller than it was 30 yearn ago too! Hope this helps ya out buddy. Maybe if'n ya had a photo of it you could make a decal?
  16. After spendin' sometime breathin' ol' MR SKWIRLS breaths, I really needed some goodly fumins so I did some puttyin' and some paintin' Tried to patch up some of the damage he done revvin' him 4banger-- no clue how he done dat seein' as how he aint even got no 'spark' yet. Hims bazooky header in primer... and figured it were high time fer some nice red paint on hims frame. Started feelin' much better, gettin' some mo' better breathing goin' on, and got to gettin' some more normal like colors on his big ol' 'rear end'-- thats in the middle Yep, zoom-zoom, dats some good stuff, dat Humbrol paint. Stuck 'im togethers (again) for to see how he be shapin' up... ...and he be feelin' fine! Least he be lettin' on that he be feelin' fine! (and if'n HE be happys--we be a lot safer! ) Say what, MR SKWIRLS?... No, I was jest sayin' good bye-byes to the fellers, dats all. (Whew!)
  17. Baby moons on a FireyBird??!! .......I aint sayin' anutter word Wowzwr, Gramps-- yous can do bodywerk fer me anytime (jest no hubcappin) dat dere aluminummy hood looks so real, I thunked it was plastic! Seriuosly, great job! Can't wait to see you paint that muriel & them pinstripes on it. Nice project
  18. Guess I's got a soft spots fer Led's Mercurarys, so I gived in ta see how ol' MR SKWIRLS would look wiff ashiny type capped tooof ..... . Don't know why we be doubtin' what he be tellin' us all.... I meanlys-- guess he don't be talkin' jest ta hear hisself be talkin', right? ( Like...ooopsies--Like anything is right anymores) Guess this just be comfrotrations of what ya'll heard MR Led (good greiflies) Gotta 'dmit, he musta beened sirius, coz he dint give me no lip (LOLOLOL) He just LOVED this part
  19. Yer 33 looks ok Jody.......and I'm a nerf ball That thing is AWESOME 6X over!!!!!! Go with the Goodlyears Gonna hafta find me a Gravedigger kit-- that engine is sweeeet.
  20. well fellers, looks like I really gots to keep ol' SKWI---DANG! ---MR SKWIRLS under controls ....and sems the bestest ways to do dat is to keep 'im on the bench and keep his 'tention focused on the buildem up. Wonder who all else he done been spaekin to? (Sorries ya had to go thru dat Foxer, my man, if'n he sends ya any more dem messages, please pm me, Oks?-- good idea 'bout the Comic sans font )
  21. ALRIGHT! Here I thought Mr SKWIRLS was gone fer good, but after scouring the neighborhood, I comed home to finds 'im tryin' to get back in hims pink dresser drawer! We done had us some words --and now I gots to call 'im "MR. SKWIRLS"! ...SO anyhows I hepped 'im back up on the bench... and did a li'l bit of work on the headers fer him 4banger. We's keepin' an eye on each others. Started out by proppin' one of hims bazooky type headers in place so's we could size up the back pipe. Made sure the frontal flange was in it's proper orbit... ..did some careful grindin' so's the back joint won't leak... ...and tacked it in place. I was hopin' to stop there and get me something to eat, but ol' SKW--- I mean- MR SKWIRLS kept me workin'... ...fabbin' up a flange fer t'other end. It was kinda hard on me bad hand... ...but I got me this here cool li'l 'helper' vise, and under 'MR SKWIRLS' watchful gaze I got it purty near done... had to leave it at dat, coz nature done called--and HE know what dat all about, so he let me go. Left 'im on the bench--hopin' he be sleeping by my bedtime I aint gots no idea what gonna happen next!
  22. anybody see ol' SKWIRKLY, please try & head him my way-- I just tried to peek in on 'im & he done lunged --I got out the way--but now ...I's tryin to find him. Mebbe I'll put some nuts on the bench Just hope me cat don't find 'im first
  23. YIKES! Whoa Steve! That's intense! and a lot of metal! Really hope you don't have too much problem nowadays after all that. Just got a statement from my insurance providers-(spent 33 years working in a steel mill and am blessed with good benefits)--anyhow, the statement is for my initial visit to the ER to confirm pinky was broken-- so far the total is $1670--$45.06 of which was for 3 Vicodin tablets. Not sure how much for the 3 hours of TV that I watched while waiting to be x-rayed. I am very aware that things could've been way, way worse-- coud've been my right hand for starters...and I coud've looked like Felipe. It is getting better, very slowly but surely. May try to do a bit of model work next couple days. Really appreciate all the well wishies--Thanks!
  24. Yinz guys are great! Thanks fer heppin' me out wit my battles with the SKWIRLY dude. Never dreamed he would be this nasty! Little FYI: that "x-ray" aint the official one that doc showed me & Deb after he did the operating, but it's near as I can remembers just wakin' up & all , so I Googley-gooed a pic of a hand xray and 'doctored' it up to show yinz all. Took a pic of one of SKWIRLY's bolts & did some computer work on it and pasted them into the appropriate place--and yeah, that black line is where I done broked it! Guess I was wondering myself if'n he used self tapping screws or drilled holes firstly--must be why I puked in Debbie's car on the way home(wonder if that's why she aint called me?) Anyhows, doc said I really splattered the cartlidge , even getting some in the marrow of the bone, but he said he got all the pieces back where they be belonging and them screws are gonna be in there for 2 weeks at least to help keep everything together while it heals. I sees him in 2 weeks-- I'll hafta ask him if'n this is where he got them screws If'n they're the same ones, I's already got a wrench fer crankin' them out---NOT! Thanks again
  25. Well everbodies, apparently ol' SKWIRLY finally got tired of me stuffin' him in a stinkin' pink dresser drawer and somehows he got some of the exter bolts I had layin' around and.... ..he done stuvk 'em in me pinky -- "How do you like it?" Guess I know what'll be on the bench when I gets all better....
