Very nice lookin Chevy.......and even nicer photography---Wow! you got some incredible shots there dude! ...and Eelco? Don't think that big block has a misfire--- looks like that's the coil wire, so it'd just be crankin' until that's hooked up
-
That's one sweet lookin' ride, Dave. Very special build, in honor of Bub. I imagine that manifold adaptor wasn't the only difficult thing about it. Anybody who built up a 1:1 like that had to be a pretty cool dude.
-
Best lookin' Falcon I've ever seen, Rick. Nice. Really like them wheels.
-
Really like the stance on this, 09W. Reminds me of when I was working at a gas station back in the early 70s. Seen a few of these prowling the streets back then. Best thing about this here build is that it aint pink ! Sorry dude, I just gots problems with pink cars
-
PINK!? Dude!, why? Nice clean build, but, oh man.......
-
Love that window sticker, dude! I had me a real live 1:1 '95 S10, something like this, but mine was purple and a longbed, base model with the 4.3 Vortec, heavier suspension, posi, and gear ratios like the SS. Smoked the tires every chance I got for 50,000 miles and then had to cut back on that---got too expensive! Only brandy new vehicle I ever ordered, and bought. Had it for 12 years. Great li'l truck. Sweet model you built up. Thanks fer the memories.

Take yer time Marshall. Gives us all more time to play with ours, instead of lookin' at yours Funniest thing , been havin' trouble with my Fotki, not being able to post up pics 'n @, so what do I do? I goes back to the bench and gets busy! So, yeah, take yer time.........but HURRY UP!

Holy Moly, Jurg! How we supposed to criticize PERFECTION!!?? Just keep 'em coming dude
-
Hey Jurg, with yer builds (with them awesome paint jobs ) and yer diorama, and your photography skills, you oughta do a calendar! Bet you'd sell a bunch!
-
So, you're the guy who builds the models for the box art, eh? Nice work! I really likes this here Beer Wagon, and your SS pickup---right off the showroom floor! Keep up the good work, and welcome to the forum

Thanks for the info & links on them tires B. That Longman roadster looks way cool. Hope you follow thru with yer plans to build another version of it.

Yer '50 is looking very clean after it's bath Dave . What a difference them red rims make! Gonna look super with the pearly white and the red & white tucky roll 'n @ . Can't wait.
-
Yer 'rust' looks like rust, Dave. I remember my Dad's 55 Ford pu havin' the same kinda rust on it, the kind that takes 900 years to eat thru the body. Seen a really cool '50 Chevy pu lookin a lot like yer '37 here last year at a local cruize, cept it had pink/orange rims...........because a very cool young lady was driving it. Wished I'd gotten pics. She had a shop check it out when she bought it, and they made anything that wasn't safe, right. They stuck (welded? bolted?) a jerry can in the corner of the pu bed behind the driver and ran the filler tube up to the opening in the jerry can. She was runnin a small block in it. Like how you restrained yourself, and disciplined yourself to follow thru on your initial inspiration for this. Like you said ......aaarrrgghhh! What am I doing!? Well, now you can go and paint shiny

Man! talk about bein out dere in left fields! Haint bad 'nuff, me & SKWILRLY doin our thing, but now me Fotki wants ta get in the act! I never knows if'n the 'share photo' is gonna work when I tries to post up pix here, but I have been able to select the pic, copy it, and then just paste it in here. Only thiing is, I has no idea whatsoever how all dat craziness gonna show up here til I hits the 'add reply' box. We's gettin some real humdingers ! I's complained and asked Fotki what's going on, and they say they's havin' problems with the 'share photo' button. So........we shall see

well sirs, now we gots paint on the banger, we's gotta puts someting in the banger, so........ fabbed up a go-juice tank outa some hamburg box, stuck a chunka styrene tube down into it, and jest fer pics, set the 'cap' on it Just fer kicks, I done squished the SKWLIRLY dude, just a bit http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_laugh.png' alt=''> Gived 'im some time out in the sunshines, and he like. He be tryin' to leave.......dumb SKWARL, just where you think you gonna be goin? Don-chew'all worrys none, I'll catches up to him and be backs wit some more purty colors on dat blue banger
-
Well gents......got to spend a li'l more time at the bench with the SKWIRLY dude.....Been wanting to squirt some paint on dat 4banger, but weren't sure if'n it weres ready fer dat, or if'n we had us some more 'machinen' to do. Being just 'bout exhausted----Dat's IT! mill out them exhausty ports and we be ready fer squuirts! Uh oh........momentsary lapse into.....something  OK, we's back, and looky there! Them li'l port drillin' elves has got 'er done! T'anks fellers! Now to figure out hows to hold this here 4banger while squirttin' it, put some coffeee stirrers over them mounting bolts to keeps the squirts off'n the threads coz I don't wanna be tryin' to run a tap on 'em to cleans 'em off.And... TA DA! the 4banger is now 'fused' (not as much as me tho, I dare say). Yeps, I been havin' this here can of so called 'satin' blue which I thought were gonna be mucho much flatter than this but, whatever..... Did a goodly 'mount of squirtin on the banger, tryin' to get the blue in all the cooks & nrannys, and wound up with some runs, which were coool coz I wanted to be dabbin' in the wet stuff to try and give it dat rough cast iron look. When I were kindly satisfried, and when the paint weres dryin' to th' point that 'twouldn't takes no more dabbin, I gave a little more dustin' of the blues to try and cover up the thin spots. I's hopin' ya'll be seein' pics here, coz I been havin' a truly turrible time with me fotki not letting me 'share photos' with all ya'lls. But I just got done prayin' and God tole me to go 'head & copy dem bad boys off'n my fotki and paste 'em here in SKWIRLY's place, so..........
-
