  1. Treat each and every piece of the model, as a model in itself. Carefully clean up rough edges, sink marks etc. Then if possible add detail to the part. This could be done by replacing raised detail with photo etch, 3d decals, etc. Do a lot of searching to see what kind of after market "goodies" are available for your project. Take your time when painting and use good quality paints and supplies. If your curious about how something may have been on that car, ask here before you guess. You'll get tons of knowledgeable answers. Hope this helps.
  2. Hey, watching that video made me think it might actually be nice to be married.......then I returned to my senses!
  3. Sweeeet! I like the stance! id you make that hood scoop from scratch?
  4. I went to my parts box and dug out some that were a little wider and lower in profile and they looked much better! I'm not sure what kit they were from though.
  5. WHOA!!!!! Where did you guys get that resin hauler body???????? I need two of them! One for my Snake hauler and one for the Mongoose.
  6. There's a resin, Cummins Signiture 600 available or the Detroit Series 60. There's also a very nice resin kit of a Cummins KTA600 but I don't think it was offered in that truck?
  7. Ohhhh, that's priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooooo funny and true!
  8. Lookin really good!!!! I like those drive wheels!
  9. Me thinks someone is dippin into the pain meds!
  10. OMG!!!! (I think that's the first time I've had to use that!) Could you imagine how long it would take to pick up the pieces if that thing got hit, head on! LOL
  11. More like a Ford Mustake! What's with all the gauges???? Does he have one that tells him the wind pressure when he's in reverse?
  12. I bet it's about to be reissued. That's what happens whenever there's a rare kit for a high price on Ebay!
  13. Lookin great so far! What tires are you going to use? The kit tires (to me) look way too small. The wheels look good though.
  14. Awesome!!!!! Be careful in the turns!!!!!!
  15. Hey Doug, I believe it is the NTC 350, maybe a 400. I'd have to check with Cass Kuscera to be sure. That guy really knows his truck engines!!!!!!
  16. LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL was he a Siamese? His name may have been "whoflungdoo"!
  17. LOL, somewhere there's a guy with a ballpeen hammer and a sore arm!!!!!!
  18. All of the issues of the Trailmobile 27' van kits (the Mail set, the Metro single trailer kit and the CF doubles) come with a dolly. The doubles come with two dollies because the dollies are molded with the trailer parts. Basically, the doubles kit is two "Metro" kits in one box.
  19. I build semi's mostly. One year I entered a totally scratch built flatbed trailer that I made in 1/64 scale. I even machined the two hole Budd wheels out of aluminum, added real aluminum bolts (VERY tiny!) and then cast the wheels in resin. I also entered an extended cab Chevy dually (this was before the 89 extended cab or dually kits ever even came out) I had extended the cab, interior and chassis and added a resin dually bed and wheels. I was beat by a kid that built a pickup straight out of the box with a spray can, fade paint job. There's never anyone at those shows that knows ANYTHING about trucks so they can't realize just how much has been done to build a particular model. There's fifty guys there that know the exact with of a tank track link or a gun's barrel dia. but that's about it! I vowed never to bother entering anything there again.
  20. I'll be there! I don't compete in that contest but I go through the venders area and check out the built models.
  21. Yeah, Bob had the sets made years ago and the last time I talked with him he had a few sets left. I ordered a couple sets for a friend. They were really nice!
  22. It's ok, if they eat the christmas lights. You can just hang the little turds from the litter box on the christmas tree like ornaments. Let them eat some tinsel for and even better festive look!.
  23. If you have time, follow the link and you'll see that I have a problem! And yes, I'm single! LOL http://www.public.fotki.com/lotso
  24. I could post pics of my stash but I think I would get repremanded for using too much file space!!!! Seriously, I have kits in every single room of my home. I'm waiting for that show "Hoarders" to get wind of me and come knocking on my door! LOL The pics I have on my Fotki site are several years old. My collection has doubled since then. I need to take a few days and take new pics. http://www.public.fotki.com/lotso
