  1. That's some great under cab detail!!!! Too bad you can't copy it into resin as that cab will be available again soon.
  2. LOL, it's a scavenger hunt! GO!
  3. It really makes you wonder what type of person could live with themselves for not only stealing someones hard work but probably taking credit for the builds and trophy's. Pretty pathetic!
  4. A Chevy Doo Doo???? Ewww, I don't want to see that!!!!!
  5. Yes, one of the very first truck kits AMT ever made was a generic promo type cab forward type tractor with a two axle dump trailer. This set was 1/32 though and was called "The Dirt Hauler". There was another set that featured the same generic tractor and the trailer was a single axle moving van for North American Van LInes. These were the two, very first truck kits AMT made back in the 60's
  6. Hey Les, if your refering to the rear tires, they appear to just be regular white wall tires with a wheel that is wider than what is supposed to fit that tire. Coker makes tires like that (in real life)
  7. It sounds like what you had were Winross models. Winross was one of the pioneers in 1/64 truck and were around for a very long time. Back then that day cab, cabover was probably a White 3000. An easy way to know if you have an older Winross truck is that they had no interior or "glass" in the cabs. The van trailers were diecast with thin syeel sheet for the sides. You can still them on Ebay.
  8. I just make the masters for them. I used to do the casting as well but got burned out with it. All those wheels can be purchased through Jamie Rahmoeller though. He usually supplies Sourkraut models with all of them.
  9. Your link goes to the same pic I posted?
  10. The weep hole???????? LOL I just replaced a couple real Stemco caps today. The red rubber plug is only about 3/4" in dia. . The weep hole (in scale)would be prettttty darn small!!!! I actually have mastered a really nice Stemco oiler hub and added almost all the detail of the real one. Theres six tiny bolt heads and the sight glass is recessed and then the center plug protrudes a tiny bit from that. There should be some pics on my Fotki site if anyone wants to see them. They would be under "model truck wheels" www.public.fotki.com/lotso Here's a resin copy of the Stemco hub I machined out of aluminum and added aluminum bolt heads.
  11. My opinion is, I think you need more paint on the frame! Seriously though, maybe paint the hubs the lighter green to contrast with the frame? I would also detail the front hubs to look like Stemco oiler hubs. (silver cap with a tiny black circle and then a tiny red dot in the middle of the black circle) I think that really adds appeal to it.
  12. LOL, hey Brett, I know. I was just teasin. I bought some from him a while back. Great stuff and he's really great to deal with too!
  13. Wow, that is really cool!!!!!! I wish I knew where to get some braided line like you used on there!!!
  14. Man, that's huge!!!! Looks great so far!
  15. Cool lookin double drop!!!! I like the color!!!!!
  16. That would be funny if someone built a model of a truck that they liked more than any tuck they currently have!
  17. Would'nt surprize me! Even after all these years of building and collecting models, every once and a while a kit pops up that i've never seen and i've seen a LOT of kits!!!!! The Duster was also released molded in light green. I forget the name on it though? That Great White Cuda was the one I had remembered being molded in white.
  18. If I build one, it will just be a "what if" type setup I guess. I'm usually a stickler for accuracy but I have not seen one particular rig that they have that has everything I like. I mainly just like the paint scheme and the fact that it's a T800. I'm wondering if the entire chassis is that bright, light green? Anyone know? I've done some research and found that Doug Musey has a (business?) called Top Dog Models. It appears that he's more into 1/87 than 1/25. All his work is really nice though!!!!!
  19. I have to say, I actually like Dougs build more than the actual truck. That super single with the Stemco hub sticking out on the pusher (to me) looks ugly! I don't really care for the roll bar loop on the boom either. I was also thinking Joey's truck had a sleeper. Bee a while since I seen the show.
  20. Hey guy's, the big truck is 1/25 and the little one is 1/87. I'm not sure if the show will be back on but i'd love to build a replica of that rig! You can see more pics on TruckModeler.com
  21. I am wondering where they had the decals made?
  22. Hey Steve, the Duster was offered as several different funny cars including the Cop Out and that body was molded in black. The Cuda was offered one time I believe as a funny car other than the Snake but it was molded in white. The original Snake Cuda is molded in yellow, the second issue is molded in yellow and the third "combo kit" has the body molded in White. I don't have pictures of the kits open but the boxes can be seen on my Fotki site. www.public.fotki.com/lotso
  23. Does he mean the body was molded in black plastic? I have every issue of that kit and none of them have the body molded in black?
