  1. Hey Nick the wheels in the AMT Chevrolet Tahoe kit are kinda like that. Their directional though.
  2. A test drive gone bad maybe?
  3. Lookin really great so far, Bill!!!!! Nice work!
  4. Scale Productions out of Austria, had a resin transkit to make a correct "Fall Guy" pickup. The kit included the long bed, better/longer decals, photo etch side trim, new roll bar, the second fuel tank, the rear half of the chassis that is to be spliced onto the kit chassis to make it the correct length, a piece of flat metal that you fold into an "L" shape to make the hideaway box in the bed and a bench seat. This kit is of excellent quality!! The bad news is that they are no longer for sale. I think I bought one of the last kits produced. If you can find one, jump on it!!!!!
  5. So you can see who's about to drive over you at a stop light!
  6. LOL, that guy didn't look like he was 6'6" and 310lbs!
  7. That's really lookin good!!!!!!! I personally love the look of an all orange truck! Orange cab, chassis and wheel hubs!!!!
  8. That AM General tractor is available as a 1/35 resin kit. Costs about 100.00 though. It's a really incredibly detailed kit! I have the tri axle flatbed that goes with it.
  9. I agree! I laugh when I think back to the very first truck kit I built! The AMT Kenworth 925 (Watkins). I built it straight out of the box with no paint at all. When it was finished I started coloring stripes on it with a pastel chalk! LOL Needles to say, my stripes didn't last very long!
  10. Unreal!!!!! I'd pay to see a guy my size try and get into that!!!!! LOL
  11. Do you mean the Winnebago Cheiftan by Normatt? That was more of a promo that a "kit". I have one here mint in box.
  12. I just got my order from Modell Trucks and Parts out of Austria. They carry all these great little photo etch lights with clear, red or amber lenses. They have round, square, rectangle and oval in various sizes. The cool thing is that the "facets" are etched into the back of the light making it appear to have a glass lens with facets. Their web address is : www.modelltrucksandparts.com Make sure to type two "L's) in the word "modell".
  13. Yep! Used to be my favorite engine and heavy equipment manufacturer but after hearing about the greed and the bullying tactics of their lawyers, I wouldn't recommend their products to anyone anymore!!!!!
  14. Word has it that the lawyers are out scouting the forums and groups trying to find anyone producing parts or products without their permission. This company licenses all kinds of toys, clothing and everything else so it must be all about the money! Even though anyone that has ever produced replicas of their products barely break even on the molding and casting supplies. It makes me sick that they have nothing better to do than attack the little guy with this ....
  15. Here's some pics of the paint job i'm wanting.
  16. I strive to stay single so I don't have to do either! Something else you can do, just keep buying more and more kits. Soon you'll have so many that they won'tbe able to tell if a kit was just bought or if it had been sitting there already! LOL
  17. I know of several truck kits that probably will never be reissued. The Tyrone Malone Super Boss and Bandag Bandit, the Kenworth W925, the Kenworth/Challenge mixer kit, the AMT Kenworth Alaskan Hauler, the last three share the same basic tractor parts.
  18. Hey Jim, i'll PM you later this evening.
  19. Here's the truck i'm wanting to replicate, sort of. It will have a bigger sleeper but other than that it will be the same. This truck is called Tequila Sunrise. http://images109.fotki.com/v788/photos/3/1602553/8554895/ocshow006_24602-vi.jpg
  20. Man, that thing is SWEEEET!!!!!!!! I guess you'd need a pilot's license to drive it!
  21. I'm sure the tribal gaphics could be made as a decal pretty easily and then cleared over. That would be fine. The fade, and a good polished out clear coat are my main concerns.
  22. I was wondering if anyone out there that is really good with an airbrush would like to paint a semi cab, hood and sleeper that I have for a fee? I am wanting a yellow (on top) fading down into bright red, possibly with tribal graphics across the middle. I can provide pics of the real truck to show how it should look. I know this would be a good amount of work and i'm willing to pay! Just curious if anyone out there is up to it?
  23. I agree! I really admire Dave for coming here and answering all our questions! (hopefully not too many questions! ) It's really great to have someone on "the inside" that's willing to supply us with information and updates! The only bad thing is now I want this kit more than ever but we still have to wait!
