Spraying Future - It's the Equipment
dartman replied to Miatatom's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I am in the same situation as Tom.I have both a badger 150 and a 200.The 150 is a dual action and the 200 is a single action. For me the 200 is what I use for most all my work.It (200) is easier to spray with and also easier to clean.I do use the 150 from time to time but the 200 is my go to brush. -
Where did you start building model car kits?
dartman replied to Greg Myers's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
It is a great memory Harry, especially getting in touch with a guy who was about my best friend in that period of my life.We now talk about the kits we did as growing kids into adult hood(becoming a adult was the stupidest thing I ever did lol). -
Ah,thats too bad.It can be a good way too mingle and share info.Maybe they(builders) will come around and start using it.

dartman replied to Greg Myers's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I started with cars and planes and military did nothing for me.Every monday night our church had what they called craft club. you could build model cars, paint, electronics(think crystal radio and electric motors you would build),knitting and others. My friend always gravitated to the models.I think they were 1/43,glue bombed, all brush painted so they looked pretty bad but we had fun and the hook was set,We were I think 8 or 9 years old.I been doing ever since and love it.I got reconnected with my friend and he has started building again. -
I just turned 55....

What do you guys do with and how do you store decals? I have decals from the 70's to present and I need a better way to store them. Right now I have them in a big file folder in my file cabinet. What do you guys use?

I also see on the 69 body with the molding, there is also a star molded on the lower driver side fender. All Mopars had the emblem on the passenger side. Not hard to remove just pointing it out.

The 68 has round marker lights and the 69 has rectangle markers. -
Love the Dauphine kit. The dauphine was my first car,and as bad as it was,I'm surprised I still like working on cars and stuff.
