  1. Agreed - invest the $$ in a compressor.
  2. Thanks John. The Riv does does have some very nice lines to it.
  3. Nice wrecker. SHINY :) RULES!
  4. Glad you like it, Antonio.
  5. Looking good. You don't appear to have lost your model building skills over the years.
  6. Nice lookiing board, Dave. It's much better than any plastic or resin.
  7. Not an original idea for me, Roland. Maybe it was Dr. Cranky I copied the idea from. Either way, the stuff has sticky on the back. Next time I'l try shaping it, maybe some pinstripe edges, and fading. Thanks for your favorable comment.
  8. This Ken guy (who happened to win the Revell/Gearz contest in the out of the box category) glued two paint stirrers together and just started sanding. I might have a pic of the surfboard from the MAGS show in Tampa a couple of months ago. Or maybe MAGS has pics up somewhere.
  9. Yeah, mrmike. I'm with you. SHINY :) RULES!
  10. Thanks Eric. I used drywall tape for the pattern.
  11. Very nice, Stu and SHINY :)
  12. Here's my last build for 2011 and it's an out of the box build. I can't remember the last time I built anything box stock. Anyway, I started with HOK orion silver, laid down some tape, shot HOK galaxy grey, pulled the tape, shot the top of the car with Rustoleum colorshift, then a couple coats of HOK kandy purple, and finally finished with several coats of clear that were sanded, polished and waxed.
  13. Ha, ha, ha. That was a good one, Eelco. Still laughing.
  14. Looks like it going to be pretty cool, Wayne.
  15. I know a guy (Ken) made surboards from free paint stirrers from Lowe's and/or Home Depot.
  16. I use about the same deal as Dan - the little drawer things. I've also discovered baby food containers. When cleaned out they make excellent storage containers for wheel/tires sets and engines. They have a snap on lid and can be written on with a marker for ID. I'd like to get my hands on more of them but there's no kids around here.
  17. I don't do much PE because of the excessive costs people charge. Some other thread was talking about making your own PE parts. Either way, I'd be interested in an article/tutorial.
  18. Grill as in BBQ grille. I was thrown off by the first pic but caught on. This ought to be interesting.
  19. Excellent idea and execution.
  20. Looks excellent, Nick. Way to go. SHINY :) RULES!
  21. Nice, Ron. SHINY :) RULES!
  22. There's only a couple of kids around here and they know they're not welcome at my house. Neither are their parents. Issue solved.
  23. Other than manufacturers, what's the difference between Evergreen & Plastruct?
  24. It does have a frog shape. Green would work - as long as it's SHINY :) Gotta sign off now. It's Friday night and I have to get ready for pizza, popcorn, and WWE Friday Night Smackdown. Have a great evening.
