  1. Gonna be a great ride.
  2. I live in Citrus Springs, Doc. There's not a lot of anything around here. The 5/16 piece is only 1 thread from the 3/8 piece. It looks long enough. I'm just going out to the shop to put it together.
  3. Home Depot didn't have the knurled piece. Lowe's had it but only in 5/16 length. Each comes in a package of 2 pieces.
  4. That's a great idea. I'll have to hit Lowe's soon.
  5. Good start. The bumpers look much better.
  6. Looking excellent. Hope nobody in the back seat puts their arm out the window. They'd get tire burn.
  7. Out of the box except for the wheels, Antonio. It's actually a very nice kit. Everything fit very well. I might get another one.
  8. That looks like a good one, Terry. I'm going to try my hand at something similar.
  9. I've been building for so long (1958) that I can't remember what my first kit was. It's been a fun ride along the way, though.
  10. Nice looking. The car, too. Best of luck with both.
  11. I usually paint the engine bay to match the body. I think if it was black, all the molded in pieces would just look like black blobs.
  12. Going to the grocery store is going to be a quick trip. Build is looking fabulous.
  13. Looking sweet.
  14. Excellent combo. I love the color and love the SHINY :)
  15. Use a big, blown Chevy - or a Hemi.
  16. I'm not a fan of rat rods, but I'm interested to see what you're going to do, John. Looks like you're off to a great start.
  17. You aren't going to use primer anymore? I always use Plasticote primers.
  18. Welcome back, Keith. This forum has people with amazing talents and they don't seem to mind sharing their knowledge with other members. I think you'll like it here.
  19. Where are the taillights going to be located, Michael?
  20. I was a tough decision, Nick. Actually, cold weather brought terrific pain to my knees after a motorcycle accident in 2001. I needed warmer weather. Humidity? We leave an air conditioned house to get into an air conditioned car that takes us to an air conditioned store. Same on the way home and then jump in the pool. Yard work gets done before 11:00am. Drink plenty of water.
  21. Thank you, fellas. Maybe I need to adjust the angle of the camera for better pics. I think I finally got the hang of doing carb linkage, so it's on every build nowadays.
