  1. Okay Kahuna. I'll go buy a new kit week instead.
  2. Paasche H series single action - as recommended by Donn Yost, the Old Man.
  3. I know the difference between rubbing & polishing compounds, Bill. I'm wondering the difference between TW polishing compound and Novus #2.
  4. Gregg asked for donations a few weeks ago to keep the forum going. This was after the switch to the new server. I told Gregg then that I don't have an issue sending money but I wanted some answers. He did answer them in a way. I still don't have an issue sending some money to help keep this forum alive. I get up in the morning, turn on the computer, go have breakfast, and get to the forum. It's become part of my daily life and I don't want to see it disappear. So where do I send a PayPal GIFT?
  5. Really? PayPal with no fee? I wasn't aware of that feature. So where do we send our gifts and can the "gift" be for the whole forum and not just the chat room?
  6. I'm liking this build. The engine looks great.
  7. Turtle Wax polishing compound. It comes in a round, white plastic container. The actual compound is white.
  8. Really? That's interesting. I've sent emails off to Novus & Turtle Wax trying to get an answer about the grit of each. The Turtle Wax is significantly cheaper than Novus.
  9. Has anyone ever used Turtle Wax polishing compound on a model car? You know, after using one of those polishing kits with the real fine sandpaper? I've been using Novus #2 and it works pretty well, but I found a new can of the Turtle Wax in the garage and was thinking about using it. I don't know how to run a comparison. How do you measure the grittiness? In microns? I'll try looking or emailing Turtle Wax and Novus if that's what it takes. And remember - it's Friday and you know what that means. Pool, pizza, popcorn, and WWE Friday night Smackdown. Hope you all have a great evening.
  10. Looking amazing, Michael.
  11. Super job. Nice details and SHINY :)
  12. You're treading on very thin ice thinking I'm not an American. Be careful.
  13. I'll pass on watching the hoppinmadhillbilly knife show.
  14. Fantastic details. I'm going back to look again and again.
  15. This is one I bought about a year ago. http://www.lowes.com/pd_103500-43657-FP209599DI_4294795218_4294937087_?productId=1205535&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_Air%2BCompressors_4294795218_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&facetInfo=
  16. What's the China deal? Model kits are made there, TVs, cell phones, DVDs, and on and on. Most of the electronics in our autos/trucks are from China.
  17. I paint, clear, sand, and polish (Novus #2) the body before BMF. After BMF is complete, I give the body a coat of The Treatment Model Car Wax.
  18. I was on Photobucket earlier today and had no problems whatsoever. My computer runs Windows 7 and the latest version of Firefox Mozilla.
  19. That is looking nice and it's SHINY :) . Where did you get the shifter?
  20. Get your butt over to Lowe's. They carry a 3 gallon Campbell Hausfeld with a regulator for about $60. Grab yourself a water trap and a couple fittings and you're ready to go. If you get to Lowe's at the right time, you'll also get a nailer with the compressor. And . . . if you're a US military Veteran, Lowe's will give you a 10% discount - ANYTIME!
  21. I've never been to a chat place. What goes on there?
  22. Thank you, Michael. I try to make some decent items at reasonable prices and not gouge people with excessive postage costs. I'm working on trying different options with the pics, Michael. I used the same background. Same camera. Same lighting. Took the pics within seconds of each other yet the seats came out darker. Makes no sense to me. Maybe I'll try the flash in the next go around. Casted a new carb that those AF4 velocity stacks should fit and 2 different velocity stacks that will fit the C4 with a little cutting and sanding. Watch your mail next week.
