  1. My wife buys sliced turkey (low sodium) at Wal-Mart that comes in little plastic containers. They have a red lid. After she's done with them I get them. They work great as little purple ponds, Dawn PD, or Simple Green containers. The lids seal tight.
  2. I like your idea.
  3. You're going to like that airbrush. I love mine.
  4. I use my Dremel to drill holes in glass. You need a diamond tip drill bit, slow speed, and need to put the glass, or at least the portion where you the hole, under water. On large piece of glass you can make a ###### with putty or caulk. To cut glass in a straight or curvey line, all you need is a glass cutter to score and then snap the glass at the cut.
  5. Nice. I traded that body and frame off to somebody not realizing what it was.
  6. How cool! My HOK meteor maroon '32 5 window coupe made it twice - once at 1:20 right side, and then again at 1:29 in my garage diorama. I'm going to have to try and save a copy of that video you posted, Dr. Cranky. I was having a bad day because I wasn't satisfied with the paint on my '39 Chevy (it's in the purple pond right now), but now I'm in 2nd heaven. Autographs will be available at the SE Street Rod Nationals in Tampa next month .
  7. No rust. SHINY is the way to a longer, productive, and happy life .
  8. I use a sifter I picked up at Wal-Mart for a couple of bucks. After applying diluted Elmer's Glue, I position the sifter over the interior and dump the Ken's Fuzzi Fur into the sifter. I hold the sifter with 1 hand and use the index finger from the other hand to move the flocking around and through the sifter. Oh, and I put a clean sheet of paper under the interior first. All the excess flocking goes back into the container after drying. One other tip when flocking - turn off the fan!
  9. Hey Jason - what's that 1/24 Accessory Parts? A catalog?
  10. That texture paint gives almost a "tweed" look that was so very popular on interiors a few years ago. I like it. Is that the paint that's supposed to give a granite look to items?
  11. Sounds like the same weather I lived through in Illinois. I plan to check out at least one of those places next month.
  12. Looking good, Wayne. I like the new paint scheme.
  13. Nice, clean build.
  14. Don't try to polish the black BMF much - if at all. The black comes off and leaves a chrome look.
  15. Have you tried Simple Green? Much nicer to the hands than Purple Power.
  16. I use the blue painters tape to hold the glass in place from the outside and then run a bead of Testors clear glue or Krystal Klear about the inside edge.
  17. .062 I think? Or is it .032? Get it at a well stocked Radio Shack.
  18. Thank guys. I'll be up there for a couple of days next month. I'll check those places out.
  19. I'll be making a trip to Grand Rapids, MI and was just wondering if anyone knows of a decent hobby shop up that way.
  20. That's pretty neat, Dr. Cranky. You know I'm not rust/weathered builder, but I can see this puppy sitting out in the desert waiting for a UFO.
  21. My favorite colors, Dave - red & purple - and SHINY :) .
  22. Thanks for the tip, Tim. I'm gonna try that out. Have you ever seen the aluminum tubing that's shaped like a wing? You can hammer it down to an oval and glue ends on like you did. They look like old style turbo mufflers.
  23. Better living through chemistry, Christian. Hope you get better quickly.
  24. Get out the solder and start bending.
