  1. Well I'm going to have to postpone my pick. I can't find the car I want to do. I found some candidates, but they're not #1. I did have some luck in finding some models I can use for parts. Plus I found some "... cool, when did I get that... stuff??". There is a KB outlet about five miles from me, I'll hit them tomorrow after work. After seeing Cranky's #2 build choice, I am wondering if speed and agility might work better than brawn.?
  2. Some things bother me about this one... but I'm going to say real.
  3. 1965(?) Fiat 1500 Spyder.
  4. on the q/t here.... thanks for the tip ######'n. Now I know what to do with all my old Old Milwaukee cans... I'm going to dig through my boxes after dinner to find a candidate. Something will come up but it has to be B.A.M. ( Big American Metal )!
  5. This build has me intrigued. Since I'm not going to be able to finish my Impala build on another board, count me in too please. I don't know which kit I'll use yet though. This may get me out of my slump. Probably can't touch Cranky's work though.
  6. Well ######'n, Thanx fo the mo bedder pics! You must have some Babe Ruth in yer gene pool, cuz ya hit a homer-run on this un! Kudos to ya!
  7. Mine did that the other day. I see your 1/32 T now. IIRC I had to log off and back on and it changed then.
  8. Looks KOOL ######'n. Can't wait to see them upn-close shots!
  9. Volvo 122 Station Wagon
  10. Hey evil, did you catch it's a longroof! The Commodore is shown acouple of other places on youtube.
  11. Different, but cool take on the 32. Looks good!
  12. ######'n, those satiny lookin wheels are poifect!!!! Chrome would have detracted from the KOOL factor (IMHO). Drive it over to the finished area. I wanna hear dem PIPES!!!!!
  13. I like the changes Rick. The "Pony" grille looks good! Are there any shows in OKC or Tulsa coming up?
  14. I like the coupe idea. What about moving the "cab" back, and making a V12 Hemi?
  15. WOW Simon. The engine is a whole model in itself! It would almost be criminal to put a body around it. Beautiful work.
  16. Can't wait to see the T in the showcase ######'n. It's been a wild ride!

    Badillac !

Oh man, oh man, oh man. The Badillac came out great Zed! The comparison be the custom and the stocker is amazing. Thanks for sharing Zed!
  18. You might also try a library. Resturants that have meeting rooms are a possibility. The city would also be a place to check. Since gregbear is a fireman you may be able to get into a city building for little or no cost. Here in the Metroplex we meet monthly at a city owned "meeting hall". We don't have to pay for the building since one of the long time members works for the city of Irving. Until the club got really big we met at members houses. At another club we met at one of the members store that he owned, after business hours. It would be cool to have another contest to make a road-trip to as we regularly make trips to S/A, Austin and Houston for contests. Not bad mouthing the IPMS, but it would be really neat to have a car based venue to attend. Besides hobby shops other good places to get interest in a club would be to approach the promoters that run 1/1 car shows to see if they would provide space and tables to run a model car contest. Also any car dealerships that have periodic 1/1 car shows are usually receptive. One good rule of thumb for meetings is to have a pretty consistent day and time for the scheduled meetings. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

    58 Cad Eldo

Zed, that's the nicest build of that kit I've seen! I've heard it will make you say bad words. It will make a great counterpoint to see all the mods you've done to your too cool custom!
  20. I'd venture real.
  21. I also wonder if there'd be a viable market for new-tool 1/32 cars today? With the kind of technology availale today, they could do some amazing stuff; but I seriously doubt anybody would have the cajones to release the kind of odd-ball subjects Pyro did with such "reckless abandon" back in the day! Again, thanks for your interest in these quirkly little cars!
  22. After seeing your Starliner I almost changed my mind for the Custom Build-off. I might do one for gregbear's Rant's build off.
  23. Florian, Thanks for the parts offer. I've got everything pretty much rounded up for it. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to chop it or not, and what engine to use in it. I want to keep it all "Ford". The kit flathead is decent and I could use the vintage speed parts from the 50 'vert or the 49 Merc, but I want to go with an ohv engine. I'm thinking the "Y" block from the 56 or 57 Fairlane.
  24. Thanks for the update Bud. Thats gonna be cool !
  25. I think Revell is going to do their metal "Bullitt" mustang in plastic later on this year. AMT's excellent 67 fastback could easily be turned into a 68 with the addition of side marker lights and a 68 steering wheel. There are plenty of "FE" engines in 1/25 scale. The AMT (ex-MPC) 69 fastback has the Cobra-Jet valve covers and air cleaner/hood scoop.
