I just went through the Calendar for shows in 2016. Only two? And they both are either wrong, or not complete. If you want your show listed, not here online, but in the mag, please make sure that the information is complete, AND, that it follows the format as in the magazine. For example: February 20 (Saturday), Loveland, CO Timber Dan Spring Antique And Collectible Toy Show And Sale. First National Bank Exhibition Bldg., North Hall, Larimer County Fairgrounds “The Ranch” I-25 Exit 259. Contact: Doug Larson 970-667-9655, E-mail:douglar@comcast.net, www.lovelandlionsclubs.org. It's not that hard to do. First line: Date, (day) City, State Then complete show info. Make it short and sweet: Who, What, When, and contact info. Nothing more: Nothing Less. No, don't reply to this thread/post. Just post your calendar events. I get notifications of them. I can then copy and paste them into the calendar of events for the mag. It's not rocket surgery....

Exactly! now, I'm an idiot (you can ask friend Gil here) on a lot of things What types of new motors, re: i.e.: LS3, LSZ, etc., which kits available now, or recently See, I'm an idiot Yes, everyone knows more than me, and a lot of people will rush to show that they know more than anyone else, but please, treat this as an educational sort of thing. Not an in-depth college thesis, but more of a How-To for Dummies kind of deal. Plain engrish, simple terms, for da idiot in Hawai'i

I have gone through four bottles of Excedrin on this. Why is this so hard? Brett and Michael seem to get the drift. A "Crate Motor" is something you can buy now from either a car manufacture, or a lot of aftermarket engine builders. So, what kits available now, NOT PARTS PACKS, have good replicas of those new "Crate Motors." Yes, I agree with Brett, the new green '32 Ford has a great engine/motor/drivetrain that could or would be considered as a "Crate Motor." Let's go with modern engine configurations here, just to be a little bit more clear.

Got this the other day as well. Revell/Germany BMW i8, incredible car. Now we can all own a piece of automotive excellence, without the driver's attitude that you acquire when driving one.... :-)

They are molded in, yes, I should have detail painted them. Car is put together with white glue (Formula 560) so I can always rebuild/recycle my builds. The whitewalls are inserts, which is cool, there are drag slicks for the Coupe that have the cutouts for whitewalls also. Thought I had a pic of parts tree.

Paint is ScaleFinishes.com, a new Lexus red color. Primer was first automotive primer/filler, then Tamiya grey, then Tamiya Titanium Gold, then the red. Clear is the two-part lung killer automotive urethane clear, that friend Pete gave me new activator for, a hotter one. Dried overnight, actually, was two hours, but I have found that if I keep my hands off it for at least a day, I won't get any marks, fingerprints, or dents in clear that way. I have sprayed and touched within two hours, but have to be so careful, which I can't be anymore. GravityColors has some great paints also, and they have made me happy by releasing my favorite red: Mazda Soul Red. No, haven't received any yet...

I tried to do the hinges, but I too shaky. Twice already. Maybe later. Have the windows down to a "science" but that's another story.

The more I look at this model, the more I am impressed with it. Definitely it's a Two-For. Build two of them. One, quick, like this. Seeing where you have all the issues, what needs to be glued first, painted or repainted. For the exhaust, I rushed it, and had to cut the exhaust where it goes over the axle since I didn't put it in first. Also, had to play with water pump hoses, to get them on right way. Really needs to be done right, and taking your time. Unless you are our buddy, Marcos Cruz!!!!! I really liked this build. I may recycle it, or do another Coupe. I am doing the new '47 Fleetmaster Aerosedan, but that's going to be a bronze/brown lowrider custom. awesome kit

I am pretty sure it's for the black rubber seal. I was going to try and paint it/mask it, didn't have time/ability to.

Finished a quick, real quick, build of the new Galaxie 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Coupe kit. Remember, this is quick. Will be featured in next issue of Model Cars.

I don't know if someone did this or not, but was there an index that was made of all the old issues of Model Cars Magazine? I found the one I did, but it was only from issue #81 (October 2002) to #109 (November 2005) If not, would someone be interested in this project? No, I don't have all the back issues to send to you. Yes, you would work for free (not! just kidding, small pay, maybe $100, if I can break open the piggy bank) Would need to follow the format like this: Mahalo
