I'm going to say the 1/8 kits that came back in the last couple of years. The Big Deuce and Big T were too expensive when I was a kid. I received Lindberg's Big Red Rod for what must have been my 10th birthday in the 60's. It's great to have all three now. I've got the new Big Red Rod in a holding pattern at about 80% complete. The others are still boxed. I built a twin-engine Exterminator. These guys take up a lot of space. I did harbor a strange fascination for the Tom Daniels stuff and would love to see the rest come back. The Beer Wagon and Garbage Truck are faves. Where's the Tijuana Taxi? The Lil Coffin, I've done that one three times and have 1 1/2 unbuilts left. And oddly enough, AMT's Ford C-900 Mail Truck. I'm sure wantin' a huge percentage of what I'm seeing in here! I've wanted an Uncertain T for decades.

One alternative starting point that I've found makes things easier, but increases the cost. I don't do it very often because I'm lazy, but when I have to open stuff I'll buy two kits, cut the openings in 1 body and cut the doors, trunk or whatever from the second body, trimming gradually to fit. After that, just channel Senior Obsessive.

Never! I'm more concerned with the rising costs of everything that we use in this hobby. Kits, paint, even the 1:1 mags I use for reference and inspiration have gone up. I have a pretty large stash of all of the above, but I always need more.

I too, enjoy a good Pearls. I've always been a huge fan of the comics pages. I still see the wisdom in Peanuts and surprisingly remember most of them from the first time around. Pogo was great. Andy Capp was great. But my absolute favorite is Calvin and Hobbes.

In honor of Charlie Jones (random non-sequitor) I will be as generous as possible with my hints. I broke my personal rule about not posting one-offs just because of the effect this car had on my mid-section. It's not a Mclaren. It is stunning. Hint being that it's a one-off.
