  1. I like the paint so far.
  2. WOW!!!!!!!
  3. You watch yer step Steve! I'll be watchin'
  4. That is one handsome car. I plan to incorporate some of the features on my next '62 Ford Build. I have seen none better.
  5. Sometimes, things get past the best of us. I have been building for over 50 years, and I will miss something, despite my best effort.I do not mind if someone makes a constructive comment, or points out the omission. One suggestion I have is if the grille emblem and parking lamp problem can be taken care of with a decal, or another part, furnish the modeler with the piece at no charge, with a proof of purchase, such as the upc code. I applauded Revell when they took care of the Pro Modeler '69 Charger, and Moebius when they offered the decals for the Hudson Hornet Air Cleaners. Not every modeler will have a problem, but for those that has the problem, I think this could be an acceptable resolution.
  6. Yes, I found some smaller plastic strip in my plastic box. I also re positioned them. It took a while but it looks a lot better. I plan to build the engine for it today, I may go a little different from the car in the article, in that I am trying not to spend any more than I have in my stash of paint and parts, and I am not going to cannibalize a new kit for anything in this build. It has to be built with what is on hand.
  7. Uh, Yes!!!!
  8. Looks realistically rusted to me.
  9. I built these from the original version of the kit, which is one of my favorites, and I still have several, as they are very good for parts.
  10. I did a conversion when the kit first came out, doing that exact thing. I had to do quite a bit of work to get it to work. The side windows, sail panels, and tulip panels had to be reconfigured. However, I was quite a satisfying build. I may do it again, to do this car... From what I see with the new version, it is what the kit should have been in the first place. I see a couple of them in my future.
  11. Smokin' Hot!!!!!
  12. Very nice work!!!!
  13. That looks good. There are not very many customs of that car posted.
  14. Pretty nice build. It has a very nice look. I have a couple of them in my collection to be built, one of which I am going to do in white, with a blue interior, just like a friend of my Dad bought new in 1963. I was with them when he picked it up at the dealership. I love those cars.
  15. I thought about that, but I decided to make my own seat trim, and it came out pretty good. I did have a back seat, that I used as the pattern.
  16. Very nice Al!!!!
  17. I did the final re positioning of the moldings this afternoon. I was not satisfied with the way they sat on the front fenders and rear quarters. I think they are as close as I am going to get. I have to do a little putty work, and it will be ready for paint. Also, I worked on the seat upholstery pattern change, which is coming along better than I originally thought. I have the doors to do, and just a little work on the seats, and they will be ready for primer. I may be able to photograph it in the next couple of days.
  18. As usual, thanks Tim for an excellent review. I have the paint for it, and look forward to getting my grubby mitts on this one.
  19. I built this one from the original variation of the kit. I liked it so much, that I plan to do another one in a different color combination.
  20. I revised the moldings for the wood-grain today, using a set of half round styrene strip. I think it came out a lot better. I'll get a better sense of things once the primer dries. I also started on the interior revisions of changing the '66 interior to something that somewhat resembles a '67 interior.
