  2. Harold , I'm assuming that happened in the building you recently bought . That 's so sad as to the Packard . I'm speechless now ......... Ed Shaver
  3. Tom, everyone here has seen my done stuff. I can P- M some pictures to you . However , will you see them ? Ed Shaver
  4. I must say Tom , you certainly could give me a run for the money. Looking at both the Texaco and the Clark, both seem very well constructed and realistic . I hope you don't suffer the problem as I have in storage of these dioramas . I build mine to "Break down ". as I travel with mine in different cities . Hauling such a structure in hallways , elevator cars and bustling through some narrow aisles would have destroyed any of my service stations years ago. Ed Shaver
  5. Before all you cry babies go down on me , I ask the question , "IS THERE A NEED " ? First, there are already enough kits with these parts about plastic land . Then too, we have Norman Veeber who already does just about every conceivable 1932 Ford already NOT on the market . Common people , do we really need to expend time on yet another 1932Ford Roadster ? Ed Shaver

  7. Cranky, still running strong too. Ed Shaver
  8. Working with anything K- Dog , Ken manufactures is going to be easier as he is a model builder and he is a member her on M C M . I can vouch for Bandit resins and Ken . Very nice model . Ed Shaver
  9. I've wanted to do one of these for awhile . Sadly, Hasagawa kits aren't available through the lone hobby shop we still enjoy here and I don't like On- line stores . Great diorama work too !!!!!! Ed Shaver
  10. Nice save . Ed Shaver
  11. Rob, go look at Black Beauty, it's 1-32. Now with all that outta de way, without the track, what are we supposed to run these Nostalgic pieces on ? Ed Shaver
  12. Uh if it were the P- 1800 Sportwagon , perhaps yes . Ed Shaver
  13. Not my first choice of Cadillac automobiles ...................... Ed Shaver
  14. Nick, try some Grey, Dark Tan and Black "Washes" to the skin tones of the mechanic's faces and to the trousers too. Ed Shaver
  15. It was an interesting time as far as 1-1 cars go . I quit building models by 1970 as the Draft was a calling me and my studies at college were interfering with a part time job . I then went on to manufacturing Custom Van accessories . I'll try and find some shots of trucks and Vans of that era I've done subsequently . Sorry but have you ever really tried to overhaul a Chevrolet Chevette , change a starter on one , or re- build their carburetors ? Ed Shaver
  16. Here is one I did back I guess in 1990: I mixed flour along with acrylic paint to do the mud . The paint was Testors Metal Flake Purple . Ed Shaver
  17. A M T's 1925 Ford Model T roadster "Backdated " into a 1917 roadster with a Horse- drawn trailer modified for motor vehicle towing . Taken from vintage photograph .......... two views of A M T's 1929 Ford Model A roadster combined with parts of a 1930 Ford Model A truck to make a period "Jalopy " racer Revell's Lil John Butra street rod combined with parts of A M T's 1925 Ford Model T to get a 1926 Ford tudor sedan Ed Shaver
  18. Revell's 1941 Willys converted into a Stock Americar coupe painted in Chesapeake Blue A M T's 1941 Coupe / Truck converted into a semi stock shop truck - wrecker Ed Shaver
  19. I dunno , bout this forum anymore . Yoused to be a "USER Friendly " place . Now I can't post a darn thing ! Ed Shaver
  20. Both this car and the Club de-Mer have always mystified me even though I know Marty Martino who built the Clone of the 55 Pontiac de Mer personally. I was always skeptical of the Kodachrome shots I have seen over the years as Kodachrome always shifted to Red in a short period . Ford seems to have never shot anything in color too. I know they used a lot of old Dupont films and they too wern't very stable over time too. A most interesting project ! Ed Shaver
  21. Kinda looks like an up dated Cougar II , then again , kinda like an updated Corvette prototype . Ed Shaver
  22. Gee, brilliance !!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver INSERT emotion smile here
  23. I think the car needs the tail light lenses restored back into the sockets to be a might more realistic. Hey, I actually worked on wrecked Corvettes on occasion. Ed Shaver
  24. I have the Rolls Royce and the Cord as well as the "Boat Tail Packard . I built the Cord years ago and to say the least , I was thoroughly impressed by the kit . I can also say the same for the 1941 Lincoln Continental Mk- 1 also . Here a view of the Continental from the top Ed Shaver
  25. I'm glad Tom has shared pictures of the oil cans as I too have spent hours just doing the same thing . The fun starts when you're sitting there with a couple of Paint markers trying to duplicate a decal in scale ................... Ed Shaver
