  1. Collectable Automobile has done an excellent piece on Hudson Automobiles this go - round . A 1951 Hudson Convertible is the cover car . Ed Gives it ' four hubcaps ................ !!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D Ed Shaver
  2. Gee, wern't both of these , well the 50 Oldsmobile at least made it out as a A M T die- cast ........... I'll believe it when I see them . Ed Shaver
  3. Again folks , I'm speechless .............................. Ed Shaver
  4. Rob, same thing nearly happened to me during Isabel a few years ago. The tree cutters cut down all of the oak trees we had near the house . Wouldn't ya know it , a Lightning bolt struck behind the house sending half a Pine tree in the back porch . I dunno, can't win fer losing sometimes . Ed Shaver
  5. Dominick, that truck of you'res is the first time I have ever seen this model built , besides myself . See, I own a 53 . I spoke to a resin caster several years ago about doing a stock conversion and a corrected body as the roof is waaaaayyyyyy too flat . I can send you some shots of mine if you like . Interesting model and a different subject , you get my vote just over that ! Ed Shaver
  6. I bet dis old dealership could tell some kwell stories ........... Ed Shaver
  7. George , did you buy muh old Chrysler van ? Now you know why I won't buy any more Chrysler products ! Ed Shaver
  8. Harry, probably either one would be a decent seller . Ed Shaver
  9. George , give credit to Chrysler for doing the Charger as a tudor again . I agree with Futrabat on the "Hokey " front grille, makes everything look cheap , including their trucks . I'm undecided as to the Gimicky wall ta wall tail lights . The indents on the doors actually add some rigidity to an otherwise flimsy body part .............. Ed Shaver
  10. You know , I actually understand all too well losing EVERYTHING in a Hurricane. Years ago, in 1973, there was Hurricane Agness. I was in a three story building near the James river in Richmond Va's Schokoe Bottom, ( 17th an Dock ) I saw a van I recently purchased go out upside down into the Kanawa Canal adjacent to the James , I lost my entire business which I had on the second and third floor and guess what , NO INSURANCE ! In addition, I had a collection of A M T Kits dating back to 1959 , built , precious to me non the less . Everything was ruined beyond recognition ............... An someone said Suicide is painless...................... yeah .............. Ed Shaver
  11. Dang it Chuck, stop antagonizing the Arm Chair Engineers ! Ed Shaver
  12. Robert, I understand exactly where yer a commin from. I'm in Richmond . I had to replace the roof eight years ago after Isabell. A good deal of the fence about the yard went too as well as the front porch . This time , a bunch of a Sweet Gum came over from next door , some of the neighbors fence in my yard and a couple of sections in the back and a shutter at my place . Meanwhile , NO PHONE SERVICE , and I just got my light s back as I'm close to the Chesterfield County Courthouse complex . Ed Shaver
  13. I hate to say this but many of these same people belittle a New kit to the point where I'm surprised ANYONE would want to ever venture ANY New kit to these people . Look at all the whining going on over the Hudson ! Ed Shaver
  14. A SPLENDID Idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  15. I hate Hurricanes , too much rain and they affect muh Arthritis too................ Ed Shaver
  16. Maybe Greg didn't pay the slaves ....................... Ed Shaver
  17. Good , maybe Stevens International will squeeze the tool boys rice rations a little over in China to get a decent set of Automobile tools in the future ........... 50.00 for what ............................... !!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  18. Chris , I had the same trouble, only it was a good year an a half ago. Generally I have to size my avatar pictures at 60 X 60 . Generally, that works on all forums . Ed Shaver
  19. I was looking at someone who took time to do a A M T 1925 Model T kit just using kit parts recently . I must say, it brought a smile to me as it was simple , out of the box with out a lot of the "Aftermarket " we enjoy today I built a couple of these kits as far back as 1961 myself . Remember now , this kit traces it's history back to the humble beginnings of the company as a kit maker too. My question is where would someone go to find out who were the Tool and Die makers who were responsible for the kit and who was responsible for even bringing this kit to market ? Ed Shaver
  20. I'm waiting for the "Arm- Chair " engineer's " here to trash the kit before I get burned on this one as I did the Bonniville Ht. Ed Shaver
  21. Dave , you were supposed to have picked up one package for the "Regulars here at M C M ! Shame on ya .............. Ed Shaver
  22. Brandon, to do wadded up trash, try small pieces of toilet tissue that have been soaked in a diluted White glue alcohol and water mixture . This same method can be used to do a canvass over a body part . To make the tarp removable, simply place a piece of plastic film under the area where you want to do a tissue canvass. Soak same with Glue / Alcohol water mix . Ed Shaver
  23. Gee, didn't I notice this ride at the car lot on Sunset advertised as a "Low- LOW mileage ride ? Great work ...... Ed Shaver
  24. Rick , KLASSIK Neva dies !!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
