  3. I used to live in Fort Worth Texas. I was working meanwhile for a person in Downtown Dallas who collected cars . Meanwhile , in the tiny tawny Up- scale city of Highland park north of Mockingbird lane , the Highland Park police were given Volvo G L 700 sedans to cruie about thier ronds in . Im suprised they wern't given Cadillac Escalades to do their civic duties in now ..........Ed Shaver

  8. The only time I post a picture of something in anothers thread is to make a pont, not to dilute the authors origional work. If I have offended someone on this board, let me apologize here -in -now , mwanwhile I got to make me a coffee ! Ed Shaver
  9. First, nice work on the Brick............. The doors , heres an area where some of you may be not too familiar. Back in the 1920's many doors on garages were hung on heavy scedule 40 tracks . These doors were made from Tounge and groove white or Yellow Pine boards . The doors were hung in such a way as to allow the middle to be the break for two halves . Each Half was hung so as to allow the door to swing away from the middle and remain somewhat invisable as the door was opened . it was a company known as Overhead Door that pioneered the Common Spring loaded doors we enjoy today about 1930. If you need a diagram to see how to do these tracks , let me know . I have pictures of the actual garages here where I live ........ Ed Shaver

  11. James, for a brief moment, I thought I was looking at an old P M C Kit . Then , I realized you actually "Backward engineered " an old Revell tool that once gave us a retractable and then a Wagon , then a 57 Ranchero . I'm impressed with the outcome . Ed Shaver

  20. Randy, I would suggest a little Minimalist washing on the wooden slats of you're garage . By doing so, the whole place will take on a third dimension as well as show some depth to a otherwise flat front vinette. Ed Shaver
  21. Thats a 1969 Cougar Eliminator . I think M P C did it . I was installing radios and hubcaps in a Mercury dealer when they were new too.............. Dammn , I'm too old now Ed Shaver

  23. The Modelhaus is a copy of the old Hubley kit that was an "Annual "back in the day , if ya will........... The kit came with some simple looking decals , full moons , lake pipes and a roll bar as I remember . The last time I saw an origional was in a hardware store that sold models in Charlston West Virginia . Oh that was in 1968. You're better off buying the resin one off Don, his work is always top notch too. Ed Shaver
